Thanks. I've modified the Lisle tool to fit over the lip of the crank shaft pulley. Will give it a go. If it doesn't work I will have to take it into the shop and have them do it. Not a lot of options for me - live alone in remote mountain area at 10k ft, foot of snow on the ground, no garage, below freezing outside - there's only so much of that I can handle when I'm lying on the frozen ground with 20 mph cross winds. it gets old real quick like. Absolutely ridiculous. Had an old Tahoe I drove to 300k miles - so easy to work on....same 5.3L V8.
