hi I'm in need of some help anyone who has done this or knows more then I do or even knows a way I might be able to figure out an answer I'd appreciate it I have an 05 gmc Sierra sle 4x4 crew cab with a 5.3l v8 and I love it I can go anywhere in this truck and she just keeps on going and going my only problem is the frame is cracked by the gas tank and wasn't to big of a deal wasn't all the way through and it wasn't sagging much if any.. anyways I threw some new swampers on it last week and not even 2 mins into my test drive (muddy field )I've never attempted to even walk through let alone drive through anyways long story short I hit a tree stump and smashed the front passenger side of the frame and pushed it back into the gear box or steering box also crack it in a couple spots not to mention its rusty ass he'll and holes all through it im just wondering if the frame on my 05 Chevy Silverado extended cab 1500 2wd v8 is the same because if they are I want to swap frames and maybe a couple other parts but really just wondering if it will be an easy thing to do as far as mounting and bolting do I have to move anything? Or can I just swap with no modify all?
