TRUCK IS STUCK IN 4WD AGAIN!!!
I have a 2014 Chevy 1500, I have owned it since bran new and got the transfer case software update at roughly 20,000km as it had been stuck in 4WD. I had a trailer on and went to go turn my lights on and cranked the 4wd knob on and off from outside by accident. I drove around the block, no problems. Went to bed and got up to drive away, 4WD stuck on. Truck is in the auto position and I normally keep it in 2WD. When I go to turn the knob to 4HI 4LO or 2WD the light on the knob itself goes out.
I checked actuator at transfer case for any humming, no action. Checked the plug, everything looks healthy. Checked voltage at plug, got voltage on the power in. Checked fuses, all good as well. Got a cheaper scanner out and had no codes or any updates I could do via our shop (heavy duty crane shop)
Has anyone heard of this or had anything like this happen to them? I'm booked in to the shop in 2 days and I absolutely hate going. I'm somewhat convinced this is software again.
