Chicago Bill

Don't know for sure if this is on topic but I was driving on the highway. Engine light came on, traction control light came on. Got off the highway a soon as I could and the truck died. Would barely start and sounded like there were rocks tumbling around inside the engine. Diagnosed as internal engine damage and unrepairable. Replacement cost, $11,000. This is a 2015 Silverado with 67,000 miles. Oil changed religiously. Checked oil at failure. Up to the top and fairly clean. GM's offer is a 70/30 split on the repairs. Me with the 70. They say it is outside warranty. I have been a GM guy my whole life. This may put an end to that. Chicago Bill
