  1. I got the same message with my 2023 Silverado 1500 with the 6.2 and my GVWR is 15000 and the total weight of what I'm towing plus the truck cargo and passengers is 13200.
  2. Check customwheeloffset.com you can put all the info into the calculator they have on their website, whether you have a lift, whether you're dropping the truck, what size wheel, etc and it will tell you what offset you need. I've used them for my 23 Silverado and my son used them for his 15 Silverado they're great.
  3. If you're talking about those black plastic body plugs they look like drain ports. When they dip the bodies in rust inhibitor in the factory those holes are there so the access can drain out and then they put those black plastic plugs in there to plug the holes up. Almost every vehicle on the road has them somewhere.
  4. I'll take the chance, I do most of the automotive work myself. If I ball joint goes bad and they don't want to warranty it I'll just replace it myself they're not that hard to do and they're not that expensive. Same way with the half shafts or anything else associated with suspension. Besides it's a used truck and they would have to prove that I modified it after I bought it, I'll just tell them it was that way when I bought it.
  5. GETGONE yep to that's why I'll probably just pay the extra money and have them do it. For 500 bucks that way if it's screwed up it's on them.
  6. Thanks everyone I really appreciate the input. divotdm my local GM dealer actually has this kit in stock for $1,400, for another $500 they will install it and it will not avoid the warranty. I may just spend the extra money and have them do it. Thanks!
  7. jaxcam02 Ah ha, probably why I can't find it right now. Guess I'll just keep checking back with it.
  8. GETGONE I thought they might but I haven't been able to find anything on any of the GM OEM parts websites. Guess I'll have to ask my local dealer.
  9. I just bought a 21 Sierra 1500 SLT with only 10500 miles, I want to put a mild lift on it. I thinking about just getting the factory parts that they use to lift the AT4 so maybe it won't void my warranty. Has anybody done this and know which parts I would need?
  10. JimCost2014 I plan on keeping it for at least 4 or 5 years and realistically I only put about 5,000 mi a year on a truck. I just want to know if anybody has replaced everything and then had it fail on them again. I guess anything's possible. You could say I'm lucky I noticed it a day after I bought the truck. The service department showed me the bill for the cam, all of the lifters, head gaskets, valve guides, and everything else related it was a little over $3,700 but the sales department paid it and I get a 2-year unlimited mileage warranty with the repairs so all in all at least the service department took care of me.
  11. Bought a used 2015 Silverado 5.3 with 90,000 miles on the odometer from the Chevrolet dealership. The very next day I started hearing a lifter knocking. Took the truck back to them the service department called me and said I had more than one lifter bad. Since it had only been 24 hours I wanted them to take the truck back and I would get another one they wouldn't do that and insisted that I let the service department look at it, so I did. The dealership sales department is picking up the cost of replacing all of the lifters and the camshaft. Guess I'm lucky but I'm still concerned about reliability after all the lifters and cam has been replaced. Should I be looking at getting rid of the truck?
