2021 GMC Sierra 1500 3.0 with 44k miles. Headed to my shop when what sounded like a demolition crew under my truck going full swing started to happen, no CEL right away. Drove it to my transmission guy behind my shop and he tells me “it sounds really bad take it to the dealer” so took it to the first dealer and the first question he asked me was “who did your lift?” So I took my truck back and got it loaded on a tow truck after driving it to the first dealer and got to the second. No questions asked about any mods on the truck. Diagnosed and was told the Idler gear shows significant damage, converter has metal shavings, and something else I can’t remember. The service advisor got it covered under warranty and I got a new transmission The first transmission that was in there did feel “loose” when putting the truck in gear or park. This new one feel tight and firm I’m thinking I might’ve had a faulty transmission and it finally took a dump idk
