  1. The tire in the picture is after I scrubbed it 3 times with the various cleaners. There cannot possibly be any trace of tire shine left on them. Unless you are suggesting that previous shine applications have permeated the rubber beyond what I can scrub off.
  2. I have a 1 year old set of Falken Wildpeak AT3s and I cannot figure out how to clean them without them completely blooming out into this horrible brown color. I’ve experimented with a few different products and methods and every time they end up brown. Products I’ve tried: Turtle wax hybrid wheel and tire cleaner Super clean degreaser-full strength and diluted Dish soap Methods: Standard tire brush Drill Brush Microfiber cloth Tried all combinations of the above and the microfiber cloth seems to have the least amount of blooming but it doesn’t get into the sidewall lugs effectively. The drill brush seemed to leave the most amount of blooming which makes me wonder if the physical abrasion is causing it. Applying tire shine seems to cover it up after the fact but I don’t really like using tire shine. I understand that they need to be dressed to protect them but I drive a lot miles yearly and these tires will wear out before they degrade from that. I am baffled by this, I’ve had coopers and BFGs and only ever used super clean or purple power and never had this problem before. If anyone has experienced this with these tires and has any insight that would be great.
  3. Does it sound like its coming from one or both sides of the truck? I am now leaning towards the UCA ball joints. I steered you away from UCAs earlier because you were talking about CV angles being wrong but if its a single thunk or bobble over a bump or when turning its probably the UCA ball joint. If you can, jack the front end up, grab the top of the tire and try to wiggle the wheel in and out of the wheel well and see if you hear anything.
  4. Do you have larger tires than stock? So with only 1" of lift the CV angle change from stock is minimal. Maybe the CVs themselves are worn out but that's hard to believe on a 2021 truck. Does the clicking sound metallic? and is it in tempo with the wheel rotation when turning?
  5. Didn't know there was a subwoofer in the center console. Very Cool!
  6. Is your truck an AT4? Replacing the upper control arms will not affect the CV angles. Only the ball joint angles in the UCA.
  7. Do you have a link for the lights you used?
  8. I forgot to show the front flare and how it mounts around the front air slot. I thought it was pretty neat that it retained the opening and did not cover it up which I thought for sure it would have.
  9. I pulled the trigger on these flares on eBay. $300 shipped. I was not crazy about how smooth they were out of the box, was expecting a bit more texture. But once I got them on I loved the way they looked. No instructions provided but the install was fairly easy, I looked at some instructions for similar style flares from other brands before starting out. The fit and finish is perfect, all the hole and edges are lined up right where they should be. I'm a fan...Not too big, not too little.
  10. Amazon. iJDMTOY 3pc Super Bright Amber Full LED Center Grille Running/Position Lights w/ Mounting Brackets, Compatible with 2019/2020-up Chevrolet Silverado 1500 2500HD 3500HD (Dark Smoked Lens)
  11. Probably would be okay with the Bridgestones. This pic was before the spacer. As you can see just barely touching the sidewall lugs.
  12. 2" block rear lift 2.5" front lift (C-clip position #2) Trailboss 5100's Rough Country UCAs OE wheels 18" Trailboss replicas Falken Wildpeak AT3 295 70 R18 Tire was rubbing the UCA on the sidewall lugs so I had to install a Rough Country 1/4" wheel spacer Slight rubbing on mudflap in reverse/full lock
  13. This is spot on. Pre-load is such a misleading term.
  14. Not encouraging this but I've thought about it too. In theory, If you put coil compressors on with the truck on the ground then lift up by the frame to let the suspension droop you would be able to change the c-clip position. I would use extreme caution trying it though. If the coil compressor let go while you are messing with the c-clip that could cause some serious injury and possible damage to the strut or other parts. Plus you would never be able to get the coil recompressed without disassembling everything.
  15. Bilstein 5100's front and rear (trailboss part number) 24-309509 24-309516 Rough Country UCA for 3" lift Motofab rear 2" block with U-bolts +2.5" in the front +2.0" in the rear I know the pic shows otherwise, but I put the front strut circlips set to the middle position for .55" of lift. Wanted to maintain a touch of forward rake, and with the extra weight of the diesel it worked out perfect. This is the 3rd set of 5100's I have purchased (jeep life) so I knew what to expect. No, the ride is not smoother or a night and day difference. In fact it is a little firmer. But there is more steering response, and way less rebounding that happens over speed bumps or highway bridge sections. I also noticed much less side-to-side rocking that happens when I pull into the parking lot at work, which is a fairly steep diagonal transition that flexes out the suspension. Overall, a great purchase. My other vehicle is a 2004 WJ Grand Cherokee, and it is really nice working on a brand new truck where nothing is rusted or stuck!
  16. Bilstein 5100's front and rear (trailboss part number) Rough Country UCA for 3" lift Motofab rear 2" block with U-bolts +2.5" in the front +2.0" in the rear I know the pic shows otherwise, but I put the front strut circlips set to the middle position for .55" of lift. Wanted to maintain a touch of forward rake, and with the extra weight of the diesel it worked out perfect.
  17. Thanks. Haven't bothered to look at mpg, but I cant imagine more than 1 mpg loss.
  18. Not today, but last weekend I put a lift on. Now will the tires hurry up and wear out...
  19. Specs on your setup?
  20. Are you still happy with this setup? Think I going to pull the trigger on the 6112s and 5160s as well, hoping the extra coin above the 5100s is justified. I've had several sets of 5100s on my jeep in the past and wanted to explore the next step up.
  21. Thanks for uploading those pics, the flares look great. Do you have a link to the website you bought them from? Also, is it all mechanical fasteners holding them on or is there any adhesive involved?
  22. Thanks. Yeah that's the only one I can find. Should have been more clear. I'm looking for non-studio, like real life walk around pics.
