  1. Also I should add, I’m not opposed to mixing and matching parts from certain manufacturers if that helps!
  2. What kit do you all recommend for achieving a good ride / handling on a daily driven 2016 RCSB Silverado? Truck is 2WD 5.3 V8. I don’t abuse the truck, I drive it kinda like a grandpa more than anything I’ve decided that I want a 4/6 drop… maybe adjust it a bit to have a LITTLE bit of rake for the old school 80’s lowered truck look. As I said, it’s my daily driver, and a lot of miles are driven on the freeway. I’ve read that some people experience vibrations on certain kits and to me that doesn’t sound too good. I would like to still use the truck for pulling a trailer once in a while or hauling an engine or 2 in the bed. Would I still also need a C Notch with a 4/6 drop? There seems to be a lot of options but I want to build the best, solid kit I can to have a good looking but more importantly safe and well functioning truck! I see people upgrading control arms, springs / shocks etc and i would appreciate any help in building the best kit for an awesome lowered truck.
  3. Hey all! Here’s my 2016 RCSB Silverado LT. Just recently got it and I’m wanting to upgrade on the wheel / tire combo. I’ve always loved the look of the 20” Tahoe wheels! I’m wanting to do a drop but nothing insane. I want to still use it as a truck and be able to tow a trailer. I’d mainly tow old cars home probably on a normal flat trailer. I’m thinking of a 3/5 to 4/6 drop… of course I’d invest in a quality drop kit and have a good shop do the C Notch. What is your guys’ suggestions on a drop where I don’t have to constantly worry about bottoming out / tire rubbing ? That brings me on to my next point. I was thinking of 275/45r 20 tires with the 20x9 wheels. How would they look on the Silverado? Does anyone run those tires with 20x9’s? I’d love to hear / see any pics of what you got and I appreciate any help!
  4. Hey all! I’m new to the forums and I’m looking forward to gaining some knowledge as well as sharing my truck with you all as time goes by. I was 15 when I got my first Silverado. A 2006 RCSB W/T. Silver Birch Metallic, had no power windows, seats, cruise control or even a powerful engine! 4.3 V6 and she was a DOG. Still, it was all mine and I kept it as clean as I could and took good care of it until some idiot ran a red light and t boned me. Since then, I’ve made an upgrade into the truck of my dreams. I’ve always been a big fan of the 2016-18 Silverados! I sought out to find an RCSB truck and although it took a while, I recently found the perfect truck. 2016 RCSB Silverado. Tungsten Metallic, 5.3, 2 WD LT package! Super low miles sitting at 35k and it was well taken care of. I would love to drop it a little bit (don’t want it slammed) and put some clean 20” wheels on it. It already has a great sounding exhaust and I currently can’t think of any other mods I want to do to it . It’s such a clean cool and perfect truck! an interior shot, only thing I’ve done is added a Maxliner Smartliner full width rubber floor mat to protect the carpet floor Mainly in life, I’m into Lowriders and Kustom cars! I’m especially a big fan of the ‘70s style Lowriders. I’ve been fixing up an oddball since I was 18 in early 2020. It’s a 1968 Chrysler New Yorker. 7.2L (440 ci) engine, 3 speed Torqueflite 727 trans, 8 3/4 rear with 2.76 highway cruiser gears. I may swap it out for a 3.23 suregrip rear, but I ain’t trying to race with the old lady:) The car is 1 of 8,056 produced in 1968. This was Chrysler’s top of the line model, only under the Imperial (but that was its own separate brand.) Mine comes pretty well equipped with features such as power windows, power seats, AC/Heat/Defrost, Cruise Control, Power Assist Brakes and more stuff I can’t remember off the top of my head! It hasn’t ran since 1980. Recently I had the 440 and 727 rebuilt and I can’t wait to be mobbing down the streets with it! It’s going to be one sick 70s style cruiser.
