By tolerance, do you mean the factory allows it for so much?

Yeah, I am taking it in tomorrow to ask the dealer and have them look at it. I already got a quote for the leaf springs and the recommended I replace both sides for some reason even though it’s just the one side.

I believe it did or the other owner never reported and accident or anything. Only thing is that I put a small lift on it so it most likely voids the contract.

I went to shop to see why one tire sticks out slightly more than the other side and they said I have a minor bent or shifted leaf spring on the rear passenger side. Drives fine etc. The auto shop told me it’s safe and nothing to be concerned about. What’s your take on it? I want to be safe. I don’t tow anything or plan on towing.

The shop said everything else looked fine and the shifted or bent leaf is what caused my tire to push out a little further than the other side. Thats the whole reason I wanted to have them check. I wanted them to check why one tire is sticking out farther than the other side. Axel and everything else is okay.

No, I never had an accident or anything. Nor is there any history reporting about it. I bought it with 7k miles on it and just noticed it.

No it’s definitely shifted. We put it in a rack and could see it. It also pushes the tire out about an inch

I circled it….maybe it shifted is a better word.

Bro, I know nothing and am not mechanically inclined so that’s why I don’t know what to do. I don’t even know where I would start to measure etc

No, Les Schwab did the alignment so they would have seen that the axle was off center. I had a body shop measure and he said the only thing that was off was the differential and it needed to be moved 1/2 inch over to correct it. But they cannot move it because then the pins won’t line up to the blocks. I also had another shop inspect the suspension and they said everything with the lift was fine.

Okay, I got RC lift put on vehicle and the differential is off an inch making the rear passenger tire stick out an inch. I took it back to the installers to have them move the differential over a half inch to fix it and they said it’s not possible because the pins to the blocks won’t line up. Anyone run into this problem? Any suggestions?

Well, I finally found the problem. I took it to a body shop yesterday and had them measure the back frame. Turns out there is a 1 inch difference and it is because the differential is off. They told me to take it back to the installers and have them move it over 1/2 inch and that will solve the problem. Thanks guys for all your answers and advice!
