What codes do you have? If the ECM was disconnected you wouldn't have communication with it and therefore no codes - other modules may have set codes saying they couldn't talk to the ECM - is that what you're trying to say?

When you say it won't start, are you saying that the engine turns over but won't fire or the engine won't even attempt to turn? With your diagnosis, what codes did you have?
