  1. Who has used GMC's rear trailer camera. I like the idea of having it work through the dash screen. But having a long wire harness isn't appealing. Did you run the wires over the top or underneath ?
  2. To All, Sorry off topic. But always in site to learn from. To keep us and our GM s moving.
  3. It seems tuff looking forward. Especially when you have projects looking forward to. It will come. From experience. Take care of your fitness first. Years of construction was killing my lower back. So I fell into a easy job fixing the overhead signs you see on the highway. Lots of driving. Seemed like a good idea at the time. My body fell apart and have all kinds of problems now. Stay active no matter how much you hurt. Thanks on the congrats, retire. Concert just the right place at the right time. Other than that, look up "Ozark Music Festival" I got there 4 days early on that one.
  4. I'm not tech savvy. I'm having a hard time with how this forum is set up. But I know it is my lack of tech knowledge. I've had much easier ones.
  5. I just turned 65 and retired, why this truck. So mine was 77 Led Zeppelin front row. With John Bonham still alive. Still enjoy and respect Sammy, good show for you to be at. Enjoy his blues now. As for your whole other subjec
  6. Makes perfect sense. Sounds like you grew up in the 70s as I did. We had vehicles that had power to spare. The word was break it in as you would drive it. Plus at 16 you didn't care. The cars and half tons became toys. The 2500 and 3500 are tools you treat them with more respect. Plus we are older
  7. My first brand new truck. So dissected the manual and took it easy. Didn't feel a difference over time. I'm an old 70s International Harvesters truck guy. So I definitely know the feel of brakes
  8. @Jettech1 : the manual talked about breaking in the breaks also. Use lightly first 500mi.
  9. After Flatus asked where does it say that, I had to go back and look. I did also find under "break in" . It says break in is at 4000mi. So I'm going with that for first oil change.
  10. Single axle vs double axle load limits
  11. 2023 6.6gas Manual says not to tow heavy loads until after first oil change. Kind of vague. Everyone's idea of oil changes can vary from old school to new. Is it just getting out any break in contaminants. Or go till the notification tells me to change it. I'm thinking 4000mi. With some old school thinking of 3000mi, plus I'm anxious to tow. But want to do what is best for owning this truck for a long time.
  12. Received my 2023 3500 SLT in early Nov. Ordered mid June First I liked Google maps over the Android Auto navigation, and could not use it. (That may take some time to get use to) Next I wanted to figure out how to add my favorite music app that is not preprogrammed into the truck. Looked up how to do that and it said to use Google play. Looked at the truck systems and Google play is not there. Then remembered something I read a while back, that Google and GMC have cut ties. Is that correct and is there any way I can get it installed ? Using android phone.
