  1. Hey everyone, great thread and thanks for all the info! I am in the market to purchase a new canopy for my 2020 Silverado 1500 Trail Boss, and I think I’ve narrowed it down to two options - Leer XL or the ARE CX Evolve. It’s kind of heartbreaking to see how much some of you paid for these shells back in 2020 or earlier, as they are EASILY about $1k more now! After looking through this thread, the only issue I’m really concerned about and would like to avoid is excessive noise. It was pointed out by a few that the Leer shells have somewhat of a height discrepancy where the shell meets the cab. You can even see in most side photos the the cap sits a little higher than the cab. I’d love to hear some opinions on this issue - if others are having issues with excessive wind noise with any of the models, but especially with Leer vs ARE. Thanks in advance!
  2. Hey Adam! You have the exact same configuration I’m considering installing on my 2020 Silverado 1500 TB - Leer XR with headliner, rack rails, etc. I’ve been reading a lot about this model on the newer style Silverados and came across one thread that pointed out a potential flaw in the design where the cab meets the cap. This poster pointed our the height difference, and due to the slightly higher cap height, it captures a ton of wind noise. Again, this is what the poster claimed Was curious if you’ve had any issues like this. It makes sense if you look at side photos, you can see that the shell cap height is a little bit higher. In any case, wondering if you’ve had any similar issues to this. For what it’s worth, it looks great! Thanks in advance!
