  1. 04 sierra 2500hd 6.0. This summer I want to do some work to the tires. Here is my plan. Install a 2inch leveling kit on the torsion springs. Put 2 inch wheel spacers on each wheel. Then comes buying the tires. What size will fit. The the 3 sizes up for grabs are lt295 lt305 and lt 315 all with 75 percent sidewall and mounted on 16inch rims. Any thoughts on sizing. I want no rubbing and plan on doing the NorCal mod on the fenders to make it fit.
  2. Cleaned underneath when I did the oil pan gasket yesterday and it's all clear. I'm going to jack up the whole truck this week and get a buddy to turn the wheel while I look underneath. I'll let you guys know what happens.
  3. Alright here's a weird one. I have an 04 sierra 2500hd 6.0 gas with 260,000. In 4wd, either high or low, and when you have the steering wheel turned all the way to the left ( and only the left, doesn't do it on the right) I get a nice and loud popping noise. Very concerning and it sounds like something is about to break. I'm not sure what it is. It's not cv axles as those were replaced. The transfer case is a remanufactured one that was put in last October. Any ideas on what it is. Only does it when the wheel is cranked all the way to the left.
