Trying to save myself from getting ripped off at dealership. My 2017 threw a CEL today when I got out off work. Ran the scanner on it showed the U1510 code. Figured it was the active shutters so I pulled the grill off and removed the active shutters to inspect them. Didnt see any signs of corrosion. I plugged it back and started the truck, which messed up the air temp sensor (it recalibrated itself after short drive) it showed -40 on the infotainment screen. I noticed that shutter were still functioning. They would open then close then open. After the short drive I got back with the truck still running the shutters were closed. I shut the truck off then the shutters opened. Now my question is could they still be bad though they are functioning. Also read this code can come up for the hvac but all hvac controls are functioning properly. Any help would be an appreciated.
