Still going at it. It was not the belt and the pulley. I’m thinking the problem is bigger. I have agreed with the service rep to drop it off in January so they keep looking at it. Hopefully they can figure it out.

Why would it squeak only when accelerating and not when idling. When idling, I have revved the ****** out of it, and it purrs. The car sounds perfect. This only happens when accelerating and again not all the time.

2021 GMC Denali 1500 5.3 with 32k. When driving if you accelerate hard at 1500 to 2000 rpm the engine make a weird whining noise like the car losses a little power. I was viewing links on some forums and found one guy with similar noise. the noise only happen when accelerating hard and not all the time. No noise at idle. Everything on the tuck is perfect. Think of a rusty screw noise.

Hello Just bought a sierra 1500 used 2021. It is making noise when accelerating around 2000 rpm. Any one know what it could be?

Were you able to find what the problem was? I just bought a 2021 sierra 1500 with same exact noise.
