  1. Just need to vent a little. 20k miles and 13 months and have symptoms of warped front driver side rotor. However, since I bought the vehicle 10k miles ago, the warranty won’t be honored. I have full service records and it was done at a dealer. What bothers me is if part has a warranty, shouldn’t matter who has the car, the part is defective and it should be replaced, especially if it’s a GM part done by a GM dealer. Maybe I’m wrong, but it would nice if companies would stand by their products.
  2. That all makes sense, and I guess could contribute to the squealing as well. What I’m curious about now is if the dealer who replaced these would replace these under a warranty. They only have 20k miles and it’s only been a year. The kicker is I purchased this truck off my friend, so I’m not the owner at the time they were replaced. I’d think parts should follow the car not the owner…..
  3. I appreciate the info, so this accounts for all symptoms (shuddering/pulsing, slow speed squeal)? Is there any benefit to getting drilled and/or slotted rotors to minimize heat? There are aftermarket as well as ACdelco gold line that offer these options. I guess I may brake a little hard but never had a warped rotor in any vehicle I’ve owned.
  4. Would there be any issues with replacing pads and rotors first, and then if issue remains doing the calipers?
  5. Both rotors and pads replaced, done by a GM dealership.
  6. 2019 sierra SLT. Just looking for a little advice before I drop money into a diagnostic check. Front brakes have 20k miles on them, rear about 25k. I just recently noticed the car shuddering/pulsing when braking, and a small squeal at very low speeds when I’m about to come to a stop and applying the brakes (such as driving though a parking lot slow speed and braking). Dealership thought it could be a sticking caliper, but they said pads are wearing good and would need a few hours to look further into it. Does this sound like a caliper issue, or does it seem like more of a rotor warping issue?
  7. Correct, I’m doing a belt and idler replacement.
  8. Thank you! Image doesn’t match (smooth as opposed to grooved) but specs look good, and it does list the part number I need. I’ll give it a shot!
  9. I’m wondering if anyone can help source an idler pulley for a 2019 Sierra SLT, part #12720530. I need to replace my serpentine, and the part is back ordered everywhere, GM and third party brands (Napa, gates, etc.).
  10. So I’ve seen several posts about this but none that really identified the fix. And a quick disclaimer, I’ve read the manual and understand how the intellibeam is supposed to work. Basically what is happening, while driving with intellibeam activated and displayed in the dash (green light with A in the middle) it will just randomly turn off and the green dash light disappears. Hitting the button at the end of the stalk to turn it back on does nothing. If I wait a little bit, it will either turn back on, on its own, or if I hit the button it may turn back on. This is occurring in a 2019 Sierra 1500 SLT.
