    Same issue on 07 Silverado. (Hard 2nd gear shift with no tach rpm) Engine light come on. Found vid on it. On vid, it was a problem with key module. With it idling, he tapped on module and rpm came on, and problem with 2nd gear shifting went away. Hope this helps.
