Do you fellas think Fog Lamps would be a good upgrade for our 2024 2500 HD Custom ? As you probably know it did not come with them , Would you put in GM Chevy parts ? Do they get wired up to the switch panel ( Upfitter or whatever the correct terminology is ) on the dash ? Thanks

The description you gave concerning the oil pump prime sounding like marbles is a good one because that is exactly what it sound like ! For clarity is a TSB a Technical Service Bulletin ?

I just fixed my prior post . It should have read they replaced the starter thiniking that was the issue . Its not the issue ! If they would have kept the truck another day and tried the cold start again the next morning it would have proved it was not the starter . Weird they did not do that ! Someone has told me that a lot of Techs just replace parts until the one that really needed to be replaced finally gets replaced ???

Okay thank for letting me know that Byrds 8 They replaced the Starter thinking that was the issue . Well no that's not what it was ! At least I did not have to pay for it

We have a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD Custom Trim Level 6.6 Gas For us the truck has all the options we need . My thinking is less options less problems . I don't find the seats bad at all mind you the longest I have driven it is 4 hours LED lights would have been nice instead of the factory Halogen

Fellas help me with this ! Would a Dealership Service Department not check with GM to see if there have been similar complaints concerning this issue ? Can a Technician at the Dealership contact General Motors directly with this problem and ask Is this issue the normal function of the start up ?

MJM 1957 Thank you for your reply ! How often does the oil pump need to be primed .? So far I only notice this noise when the truck has been sitting overnight . Is there a length of time the truck sits before it will make that noise and do the prime again ?

I'm thinking of getting a Scan Gauge or whatever you call that instrument to mount in the above truck to see all the information while you are driving . Because our truck is a Custom Trim Level to see Fuel Consumption , Transmission Temp etc. I need to turn the little knob on the instrument panel and rotate it to search . Not the best when driving down the road in my opinion What one are you fellas using ? What is a good make to purchase for the truck ? Thank you !

Buck If I'm correct GVWR does not include the trailers weight ,dry or all things in it water propane ,items you put into it ? So is it possible that I could be over on one limit and under on another ? Sorry I'm just shooting things off the top of my head !

Okay having said that is this a normal noise ? Did you happen to see JR's explanation as to what he thinks is going on in my 2 other threads . Of course I'm not trying to stir anything up here between opinions I just want to know what is going on with the truck

I'm not sure if there are any threads on this so here goes ! You fellas that have a 2024 Chevrolet 2500 HD with 6.6 Gas engine what size Travel Trailer are you towing ? We are thinking a bumper pull not 5th wheel What is the dry weight of the trailer you are hauling ? What does it weigh after you load it up with full propane tanks ,water and all the gear you have in the trailer I don't want to purchase a trailer that is too heavy and the the truck struggles Is there a recommended safe factor as in how much you should load your trailer up with additional weight beyond the dry weight ? I'm a bit naive to all the GVW and appropriate nomenclature aspects to Gross Weight Gross Combined Weight Payload etc Thank you

Hello GM I will now post this here as I did not know there was this thread . I have a 2024 Chevrolet 2500 HD Custom 6.6 Gas engine built in Oshawa When starting the truck remotely you can here the initial startup as any vehicle would start but right at the very end of the start and engaging there is a strange noise it is very hard to describe but it is different . Some are suggesting this is the purge of air from the oil pump and the start of delivery of oil to the engine . Can you verify if this is in fact what is going on ? Here is a video of another truck with same noise as my truck Thank you !

JR ! I just got the truck back from the Dealership today . The technician did a cold remote start on the truck this morning and it made the noise . It was determined that it was a starter issue and replaced it under warranty . Of course it did not make the sound after a new starter was put in because the truck was not cold . We will we see what happens tomorrow morning when I start the truck cold . Keep tuned ! Oh I found a video on YouTube of a cold start and it did the same thing your truck and mine do , I will see if I can find it and post it up
