  1. Thx for reply! Oshawa truck (Canada eh) per placards. My buddy has the GMC equivalent (SLT) made in Flint and no problems except for lack of front end grease, low rear end fluid and the leaking driveshaft at output from tranny (since fixed). Looked at his before I pulled trigger on this Chevy. Hopefully those Canadians actually know what they’re doing!! OR, should I ask if there are known Quality issues out of the Oshawa plant? With regards to lemon laws in TX, I am aware of the requirements/rules in this state. Previously escalated on 1st go around to the “Chevrolet Executive Resolution Liaison” person. I called and informed this person on this 2nd incident for awareness as truck was going down the lane on the flatbed. Truck bought 57 miles away at another dealer due to unable to buy one/order one through servicing dealership only 15 miles away (I was told GM only “allocated vehicles” to the local servicing dealer). I definitively want to know for certain what the problem actually is as I like the truck with the “Allison” tranny and its seemingly excellent towing abilities when it is running. Nothing definitive was reported as being found on 1st go around with what sounds like only grounds/terminations being checked and verified…GM expertise beyond local techs were supposedly involved in the decision making/troubleshooting process. Will hopefully update with a final resolution soon!
  2. Traded my 1/2 Ton 2020 RST 3.0L Z71 Crewcab plus $$$$$ for a brand new 2024 2500HD LTZ L8T Z71 Crewcab on Feb 02. At approx 1600 miles my 1st “no start” encounter with completely darkened screens and only a “clicking” starter relay on this new gem was experienced. Battery is/was a-okay per tow truck driver and my servicing GM dealership on truck and key fob. Steering wheel locked and would not turn/disengage creating more difficulty for tow. After 18 days correcting 80+ thrown computer codes (I was told) and multiple ground checks and torque checks for electrical connections and dealer coordination with high level GM tech “experts”, I was notified that my truck was ready to be picked up. I towed equipment trailer 3-4 times immediately prior to next occurrence with no issues with around 6000LB trailer + load weight. At approx 2200 miles on truck and while finishing complete hookup to my RV trailer for 1st time to get RV inspected this year, it happened again. “No Start” with screen displays visible this time (and radio actually worked this time for “soothing” music) but the steering wheel was again locked with the same starter relay “clicking” and TPMS, Theft Deterrent, and etc Systems in need of service. Yes, my 2024 Summit white 2500HD went down the lane on a flatbed tow truck again singing "..I'm leavin on a flatbed don't know when I'll be back again...". Still awaiting dealer’s “real” troubleshooting input. Very happy I still have my 2007 GM HD diesel truck that has never experienced anything even close to the 2024 model’s issues…of course it only has analog gauges (which I definitely miss on the new truck not a computer/digital fan). Any input or experience that might help my dealer resolution with similar issues experienced on your new 2024 year 2500HD full digital/electronic screens with one or more “no start” issues would be appreciated…not sure I can trust this new truck for our future planned 2K-3K distance towing.
