  1. I just looked this up. It's a service bulletin not a recall. It will only be done if your vehicle goes in for something else. Do you know for sure they replaced your valve body with a new one? https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2025/MC-11016127-0001.pdf
  2. Thank you for posting this! Ours was also replaced in October also and we have noticed a couple minor shifting issues. I'll try to call the dealer to see if we are included in the recall.
  3. Check out the lemon law in your state. In Michigan if it's under warranty and they can't fix it for over 30 days, you can ask for a buyback. Also remember there's always someone higher up at GM to contact. Don't let them tell you differently. Start with the customer service number at GM to get a case number. Ask for your case to be expedited if you have special circumstances. Ours happened when we were on vacation.
  4. There is currently no recall on the transmission even though at any given time in the last year (or more) there are 2000 vehicles waiting for the valve body. Obviously GMC doesn't issue a recall, even though this is a known problem, because they aren't allocating many of the redesigned part to current owners. Most go to producing new vehicles. They already have our money! Please file a complaint with the NHTSA at this link. https://www.nhtsa.gov/vehicle/2022/GMC/SIERRA%25201500%2520LIMITED/PU%252FRC/2WD#complaints Maybe we can save others the headaches, possible injuries and out of pocket costs that we have incurred. Also if there is a safety recall I'm assuming GM would be forced to replace the transmission if parts are unavailable. This is something they are refusing to do now even though people have been months without their truck. The process is anonymous when you file a complaint and the NHTSA could force GM to initiate a safety recall.
  5. We've been waiting a month for the valve body on our 2022 Sierra. I got a call from the service manager yesterday. Evidently there are 2000 vehicles presently waiting for this part, and yet they continue to make new trucks with the updated part but don't provide it for current customers. Most of the vehicles are under warranty on top it.
  6. We currently have our 2022 GMC Sierra (still under warranty) in the dealer for the valve body replacement. We were staying on an island at the time and it had to be towed 100 miles to the dealer. Because of our remote location we are paying $600 a week for a rental truck that we aren't even allowed to tow our small boat with. We have been told we won't be fully reimbursed for the tow because of the distance and cost ($900), plus we will be $300 per week out of pocket cost for the rental since it's over $44 per day! So we're stuck 400 miles from home, not able to enjoy our time on the island and have no idea when the backordered part will be in. Has anyone had success mitigating the out of pocket cost? This sure isn't the same quality truck as our 21 year old GMC that we sold to buy this new one.
