  1. @GMCustomerService Experiencing the exact same trouble with both my truck and my wife’s Acadia. I drive a 2020 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 RST Texas Edition purchased brand new off the truck delivering to Matt Bower’s Chevy in Slidell, LA with 9 miles on it and have driven this truck 91,700 miles since purchasing. I also purchased my wife 2020 GMC Acadia SLT. We are consistent GM purchasers to date (37 years old with 3 children 14, 5, 3). BOTH of our GM vehicles were manufactured in 2020 and experiencing exact same electrical AC issues explained in this thread and all across the internet. I opted to fix my wife’s vehicle first and we paid thousands of dollars replacing compressor, replace blower, etc etc and none of these costly repairs have fixed the problem. I drive my truck across Louisiana and Mississippi for work so working AC extremely important with how hot it is most the year. The dealership attempted to pull me down the costly rabbit hole of uncertainty without expressing confidence in the root cause. I would greatly appreciate GM’s support advising Matt Bower’s Chevrolet Service department in Slidell, LA on how to fix this issue. My truck - While driving the air will stop blowing all together once a day or every other day when it’s hot outside. I always turn off my “auto-start” button but here lately it hasn’t been working without having to turn off that button manually. If I leave my truck running and the timer kills the engine 45 minutes later the when I get back in truck and start it the AC won’t blow any air. If I turn the engine off, open doors let the systems turn off and wait several minutes there’s a 50% chance the ac will begin working again. My touch screen dash appears to be working okay but when this issue occurs sometimes the temp dial will stay stuck in 63 degrees driver and 60 passenger even when the “SYNC” selected. If it’s really hot outside mid day and I am parked in sun there’s 100% certainty my AC won’t blow any air. When I park in shade the AC works just fine when I get in my truck and start engine. If the ac is working - I can drive from Slidell to Shreveport without AC troubles. If it’s cloudy or rainy I tend to have working AC and blower. When it’s hot outside it’s guaranteed to stop blowing entirely until I can stop my truck, let it sit in shade for 5 minutes, start back up fingers crossed. before reaching this point - I used to run into the won’t blow cold air issue that everyone else is describing. Now, when this issue happens it won’t blow at all. Again, once I get it back working it blows cold air exactly as expected but if I plug my phone in for CarPlay, hot outside, someone calls and the AC auto turns down blower fan speed to limit noise there’s a 75% chance it stops blowing and I have to roll windows down to cool off until it begins working again or makes me stop somewhere to shut off truck wait 5 minutes then get back in and start truck again. This is beyond frustrating and it sounds like there may be a widespread issue reported online. Also - my gauges tend to change when experiencing this electrical issue that forces my AC and blower to stop working multiple times a day depending in how hot it is outside basically. My wifes 2020 GMC Acadia SLT DASH gauges all lit up, steering assist function error on screen behind wheel, gauges for oil, temp go haywire momentarily, AC blows hot air only but does remain blowing. In addition to purchasing/maintaining both of these GM vehicles (and owning GM my entire life), we’ve exhausted well over $15,000 at certified Chevy dealer service departments and thru 3rd party auto mechanics and the same issues persist both vehicles. Please help me get the right feedback to Matt Biwers Chevy Slidell Service department so they can fix our vehicles asap! This outcome will 100% control whether we stay loyal GM customers. It’s time for me to purchase a new truck to stay in compliance with my company’s MOTUS program. My family of 5 and 2 dogs have outgrown my wife’s Acadia and we need to get her a full sized Tahoe or Suburban. My daughter will likely drive my wife’s Acadia if we can get the AC/electrical issues fixed. She may also want to drive my truck but that also depends on the trade in value realized in the next few months once I get this Electrical/AC issue fixed. My extended family is pro GM and I want to stay GM but would like to know that this issue is not going to come up again after buying my next truck. Help me prove that’s the right decision to my wife! My wife wants to take to Facebook and Twitter in search of answers but i want to give GM the opportunity to guide us before creating a stink over something that appears to be fixable based on your feedback on the post this is linked to. Please Help! Thanks, Brandon E Faciane 9856651510 [email protected]
