I browsed around for troubleshooting tips regarding both drivers side doors unable to unlock with the door handle button on both doors on my drivers side.
steps I’ve tried:
infotainment setting: I looked around and found the setting under setting -> Vehicle and it is turned on that all doors should be able to unlock. So that doesn’t seem to be the issue.
I have also tried replacing the batteries in both fobs and still have no success.
i have read about wiring in the door or an antenna and such but I am unqualified to replace these so assume. There might be some videos on YouTube I could check out and see if they will walk me through it but I’m posting in here in order to narrow down the amount of things I will need to troubleshoot.
if someone could guide me in the right direction in what to try to diagnose it would be greatly appreciated. The GMC dealerships around where I live have horrible turnaround service and I am not fond of renting a vehicle while they troubleshoot the problem.
ant and all recommendations are greatly appreciated and I truly hope we can narrow down the problem so that someone like me with very little know how around vehicles could potentially save my wallet.
unfortunately both me, my dad, and my uncle all bought 2020-2021 gmc and all three of us have had to put it into the shop while pretty new. Now that my warranty is out it looks like it’s up to you guys to try to save me a major headache.
