Hey everyone I've got a 2010 Silverado 1500 with the 6.2L L9H and 100k miles and it's got a pretty bad rod knock. I decided to do a oil change to check for copper shavings and to no surprise the oil as well as in the filter was filled with copper shavings. I'm gonna assume it's from a piston bearing destroying itself. At this point am I better off rebuilding the motor or swapping in a motor with similar miles like another 6.2 or a 6.0?
I'm hoping to spend no more than 3.5k but I wouldn't be surprised if it costs more than that
