I agree with Tim. As tech heavy as engines are these days, no way I’d be an early buyer of the new 6.6. Of course, I bought my ‘26 Denali w/the 6.2 after dumping my Tundra with it’s defective 3.5 liter imploding engine disaster, so I’m a little gun-shy. That said, my 6.2 has been rock solid. I don’t drive it like I do my BMW Z4 M40i, but I don’t baby it either. I got a V8 for a reason. But I’m averaging 18 around town and 22 highway. I have seen 24 highway as well when I wasn’t loaded up heavy. Considering my Tundra with the twin turbo V6 only got 14.5 in town and 17 on the road, I’ll take the 6.2 all day, every day. If I were you, I’d grab a ‘26 while you can. Inventories are probably gonna start dropping and I’ll bet the deals will start looking sweeter as well.

So are you saying the range shown in the MyGMC app and the dash will be different? Also, what scanner? An OBD scanner? I can’t imagine keeping that plugged in while driving around. i guess my main question was on the capacity. When it jumped from 43 to LOW and then I put in 23.2 gallons 4 miles later, did I really have less than a gallon left? Or is there an additional reserve capacity. If I ran it dry or completely drained the tank and refilled it, would it take exactly 24 gallons and no more?

So I’ve seen this happen a couple times now. Fuel light comes on, shows 50-55 miles to go. The first time, I was on an interstate, so started looking for an exit. Went about 5 miles, then it went to 43 miles, went another mile or two and it then said LOW. Never read anything else. I found a station about 4 miles later and filled up. It took 23.2 gallons. In a 24 gallon tank, to go from 43 miles to putting in over 23 gallons in less than 10 miles was kinda’ shocking. Today, I had roughly the same experience. Went from 40 miles to go to LOW, got gas about 5 miles later and put in about 22.5 gallons. Anyone else see the same? Is there a hidden reserve over the 24 gallon tank capacity?

Got it. I appreciate the warnings, guys. Does anyone know if they fit? Lots of posts up here about tire swaps and lifts/aftermarket wheels. I just want to know what works on a stock setup.

I’m not too concerned about that. I’ve usually gone up a size or two in my trucks since I think most mfgs undersize stock tires. I do the math and know what I’m getting into. But it’s a moot point if they don’t fit. I can see that the upper control arm fit is pretty tight. But I’m not going the spacer route.

Searched and haven’t found the answer. I have a 2026 Denali with the 22” wheels with 275/50. I’d like to fill out the wheel wells more and lose the crappy Bridgestones. Looking at the Michelin LTX M/S in 295/55. Adds about 0.8” in width and height. Has anyone fit these with the stock wheels, no lift/no spacers, and with no rubs or mods? I could do without any additional width…just looking for height. But I don’t need an A/T tire, and I can’t find a 285/50 or 285/55 in anything other than an A/T. Nobody makes a 275/55, and a 285/60 is only available in an E tire and I’m not mounting a 60# tire. A 275/60 is a 35” tire and I think that would be too tall to not cause a problem.
