    I got my information from Torque News 2026 Silverado VIN Hack: Look for 8th Digit ‘E’ to Confirm the DFM-Free 5.3L V8 That Ends Lifter Failure Can you tell me if a new gasser GMC 6.2L Denali or a 2026 5.3L Denali is safe to purchase? I have read a lot about engine failures and just want to be safe. What would you recommend? Plan on purchasing a new truck in the near future. Thanks for your assistance, John

    Is there any truth to the below: 2026 Silverado owners found a reliability top priority: the 8th VIN digit "E" confirms the 5.3L V8 lacks DFM hardware. This factory delete solves the notorious lifter failure issue plaguing Chevy trucks since 2019? Can anyone tell which trim are these trucks and where can I find a new 2026 with this fix?

    I have 3 more mortgage payments on my house. I am planning on purchasing a new GMC 6.2L Denali. Is it safe to purchase a new truck? I have been reading alot about engine failures. Has this been corrected. What should one do?
