  1. What's the specifics on the diode needed?
  2. I have ~2500 on my truck and just took an extended trip a week ago and noticed the hard downshift for the first time. Until this trip I hadn't done and hard braking, but I did notice it a couple times during the trip.
  3. I accidentally drove my 07 SLE 400 miles on the highway in 4wd....never noticed until I turned into my driveway. Had the truck for 5 years after that and no problems.
  4. I've got a 2017 Silverado with the 5.3. I only have a little over 300 miles on mine, but I really never even notice when it switches between V8 & V4 and back unless I happen to look at the DIC and notice it. Too early to tell about oil usage. I had a 2007 Sierra 5.3/AFM with 92+k miles on it and it never used a drop of oil between changes. Everything was left stock on the truck from the day I bought it.....no tunes, no new exhaust etc. I hope my 2017 fairs as well as the 2007.
  5. Mobil 1 @ Wal-Mart - 25.47/5qt https://www.walmart.com/ip/Mobil-1-0W-20-Advanced-Fuel-Economy-Full-Synthetic-Motor-Oil-5-qt./17034374
  6. My truck has covers over the oval holes down each side of the bed and the last hole (closest to the tailgate) is round with a rubber cover.....that's the one.
  7. I currently have the truck in my sig and tow a bassboat (approx 3000 - 3500lbs). I'm considering a new Colorado or Canyon (preferably Canyon) with 3.6 engine, but am concerned about towing the boat.....too much boat for not enough truck? I know they are rated to be able to tow more than that, but I'd like some real world insight. Anyone towing a rather heavy boat with one? Any problems/concerns?
