I have a 2000 2500 with the 4L80-E transmission, and I pull a 9200lb 5th and been doing so for 8 yrs (several trips of 500 miles) and have had zero problems. I always thought this tranny was bullet proof but after reading these post It seems not. I do take care of my truck and do all the proper maintenace. Maybe Im just lucky??
