  1. I spent the better parts of the last three days installing Katzkin leather. I'm gonna say installing a suspension is easier.
  2. Ah first time seeing the new truck. Very nice!
  3. Laid down color/clear.
  4. Leveling kits do change the geometry but where this is more prevalent is with 305s and such. I've never heard of a tire that narrow hitting, but you do have a newer gen and people are notorious for claiming their setups don't rub when they actually do. Your cheapest fix is small wheel spacers.
  5. They shouldn't be rubbing the UCA unless they're a good bit wider. Those tires are only a half inch taller so there's zero chance your old tires would somehow clear the UCA and these wouldn't. The only thing I can figure is that maybe your alignment is out of whack and the old tires probably rubbed too, or they're not actually hitting the UCA, and instead maybe a concrete edge of a driveway when pulling in or something similar.
  6. Don't have a chl but I carry a G27 everywhere. G22 at work.
  7. Cough - 22s and Toyo's - cough
  8. Well said, and I think point 2, followed by point 3 are the most likely. I can't imagine many people test driving a vehicle(s), noting such a prominent issue and signing on the dotted line anyway. I sure wouldn't have. Sales of these things aren't slowing down and for good reason. I hope you guys get a resolution soon but I really think your 2nd point is why GM isn't running for their life here. My main point is that there is a difference, at least I beleive there is, between the affected Vehicles (minority) and the unaffected (majority). That in of itself would suggest a solution.
  9. I don't believe I implied he was a "fooled customer." That's not what I meant. My comment was based on the fact that anyone who frequents these forums or does a little reading before buying not see this thread and and think these vehicles are rolling disasters. There's a lot of pages here, but how many problem vehicles? GM dominates the suv market. Sales are what? 100k units or more a year? Happy people rarely go searching for a place to talk about the greatness of their vehicle unless they're an enthusiast. But people do go searching for a place to complain when they're unhappy. This thread represents the latter and represents a negligible number of problem vehicles. That's just the plain truth based on what's available on the all mighty web. One can assume it's widespread I suppose but that's just that, an assumption. There's some problems. That's obvious based on this thread. But no one should read this and run away.
  10. I wouldn't let what you read here deter you completely. Use this info to make informed decisions and test drive thoroughly, but don't be fooled into thinking this is wide spread. This forum represents a very small percentage of buyers. I, along with many others, don't have any issues. There's a valid reason your dealer didn't know about the problem.
  11. Thanks. I almost painted the inside of my headlights when I cleared them, but preferred the look they have now. And smoked tails just aren't my thing. The diminished light output and work just isn't worth it to me, but it can look nice.
  12. After a month of cold and rain they got some attention. Clean for now.
  13. Mine did the exact same thing one night. The only buttons that worked were on the wheel. I killed it and let it sit and that corrected it, hasn't happened since.
  14. I've never owned a set but hear the quality is excellent. Just been hearing a lot about the fit on TYF vs the huskys.
  15. Oh no! That sucks. Just from the pics I've seen and the feedback I've read I wouldn't buy WTs. Do they all hang over the door plates like that?
  16. Vinyl wrap that thing. I'll never go back to paint.
  17. Someone on another forum believed to have found a correlation with the recirc active causing noise and I imagine that could cause a pressure increase?
