Having trouble with my AC evaporator freezing up. Last year, all components, except the evaporator & hvac control module were replace replaced. Evaporator has been tested, flushed and cleaned, and the fins have been cleaned. Drain is working properly as well. From all the research I’ve done it. Is this small sensor. My vin# 1GCHK23U06F239688 Instrument Panel Air Duct Air Temperature Sensor part # 12160947 my question is where is it located in the HVAC ducting I have looked on GM parts. I’ve gone to the dealer and nobody can give me a schematic. I question if this was the right part, but my dealer assured me based on my VIN it was. I have been told it’s accessible without removing a dashboard and I’ve also been told I need to remove the dash to replace it. Looking to find the location so I can swap the sensor out before having to dig further.
