It does not sound like a remote start issue. I was not using the remote start on mine when the message was displayed. Also I could not even start my truck. Keep us posted.

Ok, got it back from dealer and they could not find anything wrong. No codes or faults on computer. I guess we will wait for it to happen again. Nobody else seems to have this issue?

I had my truck since October and this just started to happen. I use original key but I have not tried the other key. I have a appt. on Thursday to take to dealer. Will keep you posted.

My 2014 GMC Sierra did not start today and I got this message on my 4.2" display "Service Theft Deterrent System". Tried several times to start truck then when I hit door lock button it started. Has anyone else had this experience? Is there a recall? Thanks in advance.

OK, dealer called and told me the drive shaft is where the noise is coming from. They have to order another one and install tomorrow. Dealer did tell me they had this same problem before. I will keep you posted.

I take mine monday to the dealer, lets see if they can find and fix the noise. Any suggestions to tell them where to start looking? I will keep this topic posted on how I made out.

I am having same issues with my crew cab. I think mine sounds more like a "ticking" noise. It will go tick,tick,tick then stop but happens the same way. Shifting into drive or reverse, turning and accelerating. Is there a TSB on this because it needs to go back to dealer before I tow my 33' travel trailer. Thanks for the thread on this, I tried to start one but no luck.
