  1. Adding a zone 6.5 inch lift on my 2014 sierra. It has roughly 135k miles on engine. I just replaced front struts and sway bar links (even though kit comes with new links)..realized that after fact. I have steel cast control arms and curious what I should replace? A lot of people on facebook suggest the congnito or zone upper control arms but they are $500 just for the set. I was wondering if I could replace just the ball joints/tie rod ends when I install kit and then down the road replace UCA's with cognito...or is the stock cast steel control arm and ball joint all one piece? Meaning i cant just replace the ball joint? Just looking for some feedback and suggestions. i will have my son in truck a lot so that is why i want to be extra sure I have a solid front end. Any feedback, your pictures of 6.5 inch lifts, and experience with maintenance is appreciated. Been awhile since i posted on here!!

  4. I ordered the Silver polished GMC emblems for a 2014 GMC sierra from auto anything and turns out I decided to just paint the ones I have, I did install the front emblem for a short period of time and came missing one washer and one screw but turns out it was not needed because part of the grille is in the way and unable to screw anything on, but the back emblem still has the tape untouched on it ready to be installed. I'm posting on here to sale before I put on ebay or wherever but I will only accept payment through paypal accounts only. I have pictures that would not upload because they were to big so PM me with your email and i'll send them. PRICE: $115 ( $150 new from autoanything.com)

  6. I recently purchased a 2014 GMC Sierra Crew Cab 6.5 ft truck. I fish a lot using an 8 foot Scadden pontoon boat. I just put a Tonneau top on the truck thinking I can tie the pontoon boat on top of the top and put all my gear under the tonneau cover. Then I was thinking I could buy some bull rings for the 4 holes that are in the corners of the bed and tie my boat down using the Bull Rings or a similar product. Come to find out the Bull ring Truck Tie down anchors will not work on a 2014 GMC Sierra. I called Bull Ring to see if they would work and they said they only work for 2013 or older. Does any one out there know of a similar product that will work for my truck? Thanks for your reply in advance!!
  7. Alright I did some digging around the site and did not see what I'm looking for. I just bought a 2014 GMC Sierra crew cab and want to put some nerf bars on it. After my shopping I finally decided on the CSI brand 4 inch ovals in black. I looked on their website and they only show part numbers up to 2013. They replied to an e-mail I sent and said they would fit my 2014. So I ordered them, they came in, I installed them. Here's where the problem is. They went up easy and I finished around sun down. I then went out for the night and they were great. Woke up the next morning to admire my work and they were crooked. I must not have stepped back far enough from the truck the night before to see it. They are not parallel with the bottom of the cab. The front is about 3 inches lower than the back and it looks stupid. I sent another e-mail to CSI and their response was I must have the brackets in the wrong place. So I checked. I didn't. They are all clearly stamped. So off come the nerf bars until I find a fix. Has anyone else hung these from their truck? And did you have any issues. The CSI part number is WE1009B

  9. Hello Guys, Definitely a new member here but not new to forums. I just picked up my 2014 GMC Sierra last week. Loving it so far. It's an SLE 5.3 Z71 2WD. Not sure why they even make a 2WD Z71 but whatever, there aren't many to choose from around here and I wanted Quicksilver. Already have few mods...tint, Rough Country 2/5" lowering kit and added my old Denali Hybrid wheels from my last Sierra (best GM wheel ever IMO). Looking forward to sharing my experiences about the new Sierra and also gaining knowledge from the forum. Thanks! A couple quick pics of my truck and one of my other GM...
