Hey all, I have a 2022 Sierra SLT with passive entry locks on the front handles. Does anyone know if I can easily add passive entry locks to the rear handles? Acquiring the actual handles would not be the issue but I'm wondering if there is a harness (or whatever powers the front passive entry buttons) in the rear door to begin with. I know they come standard on Denali, so was thinking GM might just leave the wiring in the door for different trims but not include the passive handles all around. As I type this, though, I'm sure there's programming that needs to be done but figured it was worth a shot - because why not! Any help is appreciated, thanks!

Just picked up a Denali Grille w/ camera and am wondering if anyone has done the install themselves and ran into any issues hooking up the camera? I’ve only seen a few videos online of the new body style sierra grille replacement but am unsure if the camera addition will give me any issues. All help appreciated! Will be posting before and after photos as well??

Has anyone ordered an aftermarket Denali grill online? My truck is a 16 SLT, but I think the addition of a Denali grill would make it look even better. I see all kinds of “Denali style” grills online and don’t want to order one blind just to find out it’s junk. Any reviews are appreciated!

Hello everyone! I'm a first time member to a GMC forum and I look forward to learning from everyone. Recently purchased a 2020 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT. To date, I've updated a few items: GM cold air intake, factory 2" lift, and color match fender flares. Hoping to continue the mods and provide any help to anyone requesting. If anyone would be interested in the factory fender flares/wheel arches (black) please let me know. Part #84269334. Also have the suspension for the X-31 offroad package available since I upgrade the suspension and the black original tow hooks. Thanks!

So I just got a 2014 Sierra SLT, and I'm wondering, is it compatible with the 2016 Sierra Denali? I have access to one for parts and was hoping if someone could tell me if it's even possible to. Body on the 16 is gone, but the trans and engine and some of the interior is still usable.

What is the problem with the 2018 Sierra SLT that occasionally when you put in the key and try to turn the ignition on, it won't budge? For a second there I was scared that my truck died, but it finally worked after turning the steering wheel slightly and then turning on the ignition.

Hi everyone, so recently I installed a sub/amp setup in my 2018 Sierra SLT Crew Cab. My truck has the 6 speaker BOSE without sub (no console/no sub). We tapped into the rear speaker wire for a signal to an Audiocontrol LC2i. I am noticing that certain frequencies are causing the bass to drop out. It seems like when there is a heavy bass line or kick, while also a singing voice/higher frequency sound, they are competing and ultimately the bass will drop out. Most instrumental music sounds great in the truck, the bass loss is only occurring when there other certain frequencies playing simultaneously. The bass will drop out/go really low, then the next hit will be normal (loud) when the frequencies are no longer competing. I am wondering if this is normal with the LC2i or if something else is causing this issue. Sorry if this explanation sucks...in a nutshell, any bass enthusiast will be able to notice this as soon as they got in my truck. The bass is not consistent and it is super annoying when it drops in and out. (For Ex. the same kick drum will hit at different levels throughout the same song depending on which other sounds are occurring at the same time) Thanks for any replies in advance, I appreciate it. - KJ

On Sunday March 8th I was driving my Sierra home from my parents-in law. I pulled out from a stop sign and was just getting up to speed when there was a loud bang followed by loss of power, Loud ticking noise, vibrations and a sulfur smell coming from the exhaust. I knew this was lifters instantly as it Happened to me in August of 2018, a short 11,000 miles ago. So, I took it in to my dealer who ran diagnostics and gave me the news That I would need lifters replaced yet again. Unfortunately, my power train warranty ran out December of 2019, so they told me I would owe a balance of $2900+ tax. Of course I was very upset with this news as I would have imagined the dealer would talk to GM and get this issue sorted out.. I mean it was only a few months over a year and less than 11,000 miles since they replacedall of the lifters and the cam shaft. I contacted GM myself and over the course of the last week have been working with the dealer and trying to talk to someone at GM who could help. Finally I reached a “senior analyst” who is apparently the top tier of customer assistance and she told me there was absolutely nothing they can do and I am responsible for the entire bill. I insisted that GM must know about the issues this engine has By now and should acknowledge and help their clients, but she offered no help. How can I trust this engine again? I have read many posts people have put on this forum alone with this issue of failing lifters. How can anyone be expected to pay this much for an issue that is derived likely from GMs design of the afm system? Especially after we pay $50,000+ for the truck to begin with! I do not pretend to be an Mechanical or financial expert, but I feel I have been severely wronged in this situation. I have no choice but to eat this cost and sell the truck before the lifters have a chance to fail again. I would suggest anyone doing research considering buying one of these trucks (I believe Sierra and Silverado 14-18 at least) that has the active fuel management system to rethink it. I would also go out on a limb and suggest my friends with 14-15 year Silverado and Sierras (with expired powertrain warranty’s) to consider selling them before the lifters fail on yours and you are stuck with a $3000-$5000 bill. Good luck all.

So I had a bully dog tuner for my truck and haven't had it plugged in since I got a new engine installed a few years back. Found it today and found someone who would buy it. Contacted bully dog and found out that I would have to change my tuning to "stock" to be able to unlock the device so the guy could buy it from me. I told them that my truck was already stock and they said that I just needed to run the stock tune to be able to unlock it. So I did that and it cut my engine power and turned off ABS and Stabilitrak. Cant go over 25mph, truck shakes, sounds weird. I have no idea what to do and their customer service is closed for the night. I have work in the morning, any suggestions?

New to the forum and thought I would inquire if anyone has some advice in regards to a starting problem I am having. Thank you for reading this. For starters, the SUV is a 2009 GMC Yukon XL SLT 5.3L SFI Flex Fuel (120K miles and oil change light is on, changed oil but have not reset light indicator as I have been playing with starting issue). For the last few weeks it has had a strange intermittent starting issue. When you turn the key to the acc position the battery reads correctly and matches my meter with all electronics working. However, when I would turn the key to the next position (ignition). It would just click. So I would turn it off and then retry with no luck starting. When held in full ignition position it would click and click and then start. as long as you held it in place for a good 5-10 seconds. I checked the battery again and ran tests on it. Brand new battery and no issues. I checked battery cables and grounds with no red flags. I removed the starter relay and jumped 30/87 and confirmed the starter itself has no issue. The starter kicks on and sounds good. Yesterday, I went to start it with a fully charged battery and it would only click. Doors would try and lock and unlock during the process but it would not start. I got out of the vehicle and locked the doors. use the FOB to remote start and the vehicle started with no issues. I got into the SUV and tried the key, and it started right up. Started it a number of times with the parking brake on, parking brake off with no luck in recreating the problems. However, I feel that it's only getting worse with no real answers and no way to recreate the problems or how to solve. Which is why I am here. I have googled quite a bit and read a number of posts here, but no real solution. So I am hoping someone can point me in the correct direction. I love troubleshooting but this is bit annoying. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I bought my 2015 4 x 4 Canyon SLT from a Toyota dealership used so I got very little info. Do I have the z82 suspension package since I have the SLT 4x4 because that's what I've been told. does that mean I can tow the 7k lb? can I update the maps or OS in the GMC intellilink system? Keeps giving me traffic warnings for situations years ago and doesn't indicate roads that have been built since 2014. Does anyone have any tips or things look out for possibly any proactive maintenance tips? Have seemed to notice a intermittent slight rough idling issue when stopped at a red light sometimes.

2001 gmc sierra slt -aftermarket kenwood stereo I've had this pickup for about a couple months now, Ice had a problem start where my speedometer was off By 5 mph. It wasn't a big deal to me. I ignored it. After about a few days of it being off by 5mph, it had risen up to be 10 mph off, and the next day after that if was 20 mph off and still is to this day. Some days it will be off by 10 or even by 5. The aftermarket stereo has no fm/am radio signal,so I took the radio out and unplugged it to see if I needed an radio atenna adapter and I noticed while the stereo was disconnected from the harness the speedometer wasn't off and dropped back to 0 while parked. I went for a drive and the speedometer was fine. When I plug that stereo in it jumps back up to 20 again. All the wiring from the factory radio harness to the aftermarket stereo looks okay the colors match. I'm puzzled on why it does this. Also the speedometer kinda wiggles a bit when turning power on to the pickup like as if a surge is happening. Any help or advice of what to do would be great!
