  1. 305 70 17 2 inch spacers front. ordered -38 mm offset wheels pre runner front bumper trimmed inner fender to metal line just ordered a 3 inch rear block lift with new shocks. should be able to pull it off. May throw on a 1.5 inch body lift. not sure how I feel about the NorCal mod. stay tuned!
  2. Been looking at a new truck... 2008 Sierra 2500HD SLE with the 6.0L vortec 290,000km or 180,000 miles And its got a 6 inch BDS lift with 35's. Been really into pre-lifted trucks as it saves all the upfront costs of getting it properly installed and such, just wondering if this is a good idea to get into especially with the high mileage if anyones got some feedback!
  3. Hey all, I recently had a 7.5in vertex lift installed on my 2011 Silverado by a very reputable shop. Truck looks awesome but my mpgs took a major hit. Only fill up with premium. I know trucks aren’t known for stellar gas mileage but going from 15/18 to ~11 mpg is a killer. Truck specs: - 5.3L with Diablo afm disabler used to prevent oil consumption (it works). - 18x8.5 in wheels with 275/65 duratracs (nitrogen inflated). 2in spacers all around. - K&N air filter. - new plugs and wires with ~30k miles on them. - flowmaster super 44 dual exhaust. I’ve cleaned the throttle body and MAF. Hooked up my obd II and no codes. Other than removing the lift what can I do? Thanks in advance!
  4. Who has replaced their factory rear driveshaft: Why? What brand or what type of custom build? Type of mods to driveshaft? Steel vs. Aluminum heavier/thicker walled/stronger Length added to accommodate lift kit? Heavier U Joints? Two piece? Cost? Results? Additional Advice or comments? Feel free to add in any field I neglected to mention. *I searched, but did not find a dedicated replacement driveshaft thread.
  5. So I'm not sure if related to my tuner but reading through a lot of other posts and nobody has actually found an answer. My truck is tuned for my 35" tall tires so that the speedometer is correct. Anyways here is whats going on, I can set cruise control at 67mph, bump it up to 85mph but even if I bump it up to 68 once it hits 68mph it cancels cruise control. At 67mph it will stay on. Has anyone found a fix? Do I need to get rid of the tune and put an inline correction for the speedo? As I said, I'm tuned with a bullydog at 34.8inch tires, not sure if this problem was before or after the tune.
  6. So I bought a 2019 GMC Sierra elevation from a dealer in town here. Was told is has the 2” factory installed suspension lift and nothing more. But after a week or so I decided to look into a leveling kit, watched a couple vids online and noticed how some kits can go under the damper? out of curiosity I wanted to squeeze my head behind my tire and take a look only to notice what looked like an already installed 2” level. can someone help me identify if that is a leveling kit installed in the picture I attached? Also if so, why isn’t the truck level? Is the rear block too big?
  7. Is anyone running this set up on a 2.7? If so how is it handling the 35’s in terms of fuel economy and power? Really curious too because of the 3.42 gear ratio. Feel free to share pics of your ride too. Love seeing 35’s on these new trucks.
  8. New to the forum and I’m looking for some help. I have a 2014 Sierra that I’m taking to get a 4” readylift and 35/12.5/22 trail grapplers installed. Im keeping my stock 22” flakes. The lift company says I will need spacers for stock wheels. But Idk what size should I run. I do not want to trim my studs!!
  9. Selling a brand new set of Baja Kits boxed upper control arms. I sold my 2016 1500 for a Duramax so these never got put on my truck. They are $899 brand new, im asking $700 spilt the shipping. They fit 14-18 silverado / sierra 1500 with factory aluminum upper control arms, and fit 16-18 silverado 1500 with factory stamped steel upper control arms. NEED GONE!!!!!
  10. Anyone running a 6.5" Lift with 35's OR a 4.5" lift? Anyone have measurements? Wheel well, roof, front/rear bumper? I haven't seen many people discussing their overall heights.
  11. I was just curious as to whether people ran spacers after they did their lifts. I have read that you need a 1.5" spacer on the rear after adding a 4.5" lift to compensate for the front track width being wider.
  12. When the T1 fist appeared I obviously was attracted to the TB. But after awhile and building all the models online the 2in lift didn’t really seem worth it. Then they announced the 6.2 and i6 comes in the RST and I can put my own lift/wheels on later. Also 18’s are to small for this truck imo I can live with the stock 20’s for a little. I feel like the RST is a better buy if you plan on modding your truck. If you like the 2in lift the TB is fine. With the new updates to the 20’s with engine trims and other things. Are you gonna trade in your 19? I’m sure the dealers won’t mind a truck with 1-10k miles and you probably wouldn’t lose to much $. I’m patiently waiting like everybody for the i6 to show what it’s got. I’m very glad the 6.2 will also be offered as a 2nd choice but I’m 85% committed to the baby Dmax?
  13. Looking to possible regear my 2017 GMC 1500 4x4 running 35" tires. Currently it has 3.42 gears getting between 14 and 17.5 mpg. If I read the charts correctly, I should be running 4.10 gears to get back close to OEM settings, since 3.90 is not available for 4x4. Anyone else running 4.10s on a lifted truck?
  14. My buddy just got a 2017 Sierra SLT Z71 after his old truck died. The Sierra has a 4" Rancho lift kit on it that the previous owner had installed. To keep a long story short, my buddy & I drove to the shop where his old truck was located to pick it up as they were able to make it driveable. He drove his old truck back & I followed him in the Sierra. He lives on a farm with narrow dirt roads & I had to move over to the far left of the road as there was a tractor going in the opposite direction. I hit a roughly 7" deep pothole that I couldn't see as there was grass around it while trying to get around the tractor. After arriving at my buddy's house we both noticed the left front wheel grinding on the well when I turned in, & also that the truck is a little more than 2" lower on the left side than the oppsosite side (Please see pictures, I've uploaded 2 of the side that is lower). My biggest concern is that after spending nearly 2 hours looking over everything, we can't locate the reason for the leaning. Since I was driving it I'm going to have to pay for it, & neither of us are mechanics, so I would greatly appreciate any information as to what the issue could be, if anyone in here has experienced the same thing & what was needed to fix it, etc. Sorry for the long post, I'm new to this. *Edit* After very carefully going over the undercarriage pictured below we discovered a crack in the control arm (albeit a small one) & also discovered that the sway bar link on the driver's side is bent fairly badly. Hopefully that's all it is but I'm wondering if those two things alone can account for a 2" drop & the wheel being off center.
  15. I have a 2015 Yukon Denali, it is lifted with 35’s, the lift has about 1500 miles on it now, I have had no issues up until recent. The issue is I’m getting a pretty loud metal on metal clacking or tapping noise from some where in the front diff or transmission. It is most predominate from speeds 30mph down to about 10mph. The noise will start when I let off the gas while driving to coast or slow down, it will do it intermittently at higher speeds but not near as much but it is the same issue for sure. It seems like it starts after I let off the gas and the rpms drop down to around 1200 or less in a coast. The noise will start off not as loud and progressively get louder if I coast without touching the gas. As soon as i touch the gas the noise will go away, it does not do this in manual mode only in automatic. I have had the lift looked over multiple times and now I don’t think it has anything to do with it other than the additional Strain may have caused and already underlying problem to become more profound. Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated!
  16. I could really use some advice, I have a 2000 GMC Sierra 4.8l rwd. I'm buying a used truck very soon, either a 2005 Silverado 1500hd LS at 135k miles for $10k or a 2005 Sierra 1500hd SLE at 156k miles for $8.5k. They are both stock and same condition exterior. I am looking to put a cam, tune, stage 2 trans, 6in lift and some other goodies in it. I am completely stuck on which one to get, any experiences or advice could really help me.
  17. Its been awhile since I've put up an update post on what I have done to my truck in the past few months. So here is the list.... -RC 2 inch leveling kit -Carven performance exhaust ( Competition muffler ) -Aftermarket taillights ( returning soon as they already have issues ) -future planned taillights are morimoto's -Black bowtie swap front and rear -I may get aftermarket headlights in the future if prices go down. -Custom HD towing mirrors ( The front LED turn signals are sequential ) -20 inch light bar mounted onto a license plate bracket mount -20x10 -25 offset dropstar 655bm -33x12.5 toyo open country RT's -Front end air dam removal with trimming for tires -LED turn signal bulbs All these mods were done myself except for the tow mirrors since i had them done at my Chevy dealer so that i made sure everything worked properly and was warrantied for the wiring harness. Please give me your thoughts and opinions on my build and give me any pointers o what i should do next to the truck. I'm thinking about getting a cold air inductions CAI next.
  18. Hey everyone, So tomorrow I will be getting my truck lifted with the 4.5 inch Zone lift on my 2014 Silverado. The tires are basically 32s. Next week my family and I plan on taking the truck on a road trip for Thanksgiving (approximately 1000 miles). I was wondering if this was ok to do with a newly lifted truck and all? Just want to be sure we will be safe on such a long road trip. Is there anything that I should keep in mind or be sure to do during the drive or after we get to our destination? Will we be ok to drive all the way there without having to re-torque anything? Thanks guys
  19. Here’s my 2015 Silverado 1500 LTZ 4x4. Got a 6 inch Trailmaster lift with 24 inch replicas and 37 inch rbps. Should I do a gear change? If so, what?
  20. Its the latest, the greatest, my new 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT! Lifted at the dealership 4 and a half inches with Toyo A/T 295/60/20 tires. I also added the cold air intake with the dual cat back exhaust. I decided to go with the Pedal master to improve engine response. So how does it drive? Like a truck supposed to! Typical learning curve on the computer so its still trying to understand what I did, I wish I could program it but the boys at the dealership have warranty concerns so...Comments, Concerns, or just general feedback is appreciated. Welcome me to the forum. I'm Ken in Arizona.
  21. I know a lot of people are running black rims on white trucks and blacked out black trucks and color matching etc. I decided to go old school chrome (lux) look. I made this happen on the front end by swapping out my black front bumper skid shield with the denali chrome one. I also as some of you may know, whited out my badges with reflective vinyle (see profile pic) and decided on chrome rims, exception, these rims are powder coated and flashed for the exact same look as chrome except they clean up just like paint. soap and water and wax. So this may not be for all but it takes me back a bit while still be modern. By the way, to remove this and replace. off comes the under grill molding, the radiator shroud, the front grill, the front bumper, remove both bumper backing plates remove and replace skid plate. i followed these instructions... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-do4lHsbydM
  22. From the album: My leveled Redline

    2 1/2 leveled, 275/60 20's, Redline
  23. Looking for pictures of 2015-2017 Chevrolet Silverado with stock 18” wheels and 37s-40s with 6-9” suspension lifts. I had a truck with stock 17” wheels and 37s with spacers and loved the look of it. Wanting to build a new truck with the same platform.
