Ok so this is my first post on hear but im not new to this place ive used this forum thousands of times in the past as I am only 18years old i started off in a 03 gmc 1500 short bed reg cab stick shift, but up here in mass 2wd wasnt gonna cut it so after that I had a trailblazer for the past year and now Ive been lucky enough to get back into trucks with my new 1500 that i'm leasing, its an LT Z71 with 4wd and the 5.3. Im perfectly happy with how the trukc is as of now but I definitely want/"need' it to be leveled as my whole family Cousins, aunts, uncles, father, and mother have atleast a leveling kit or just a beefy vehicle as now im the only one without some ground clearance, but i dont know which leveling kit is the best choice as i want to stay under 3 inches. So if anyone could help me it would be great id like to know the best kits under a few categories. 1-Best ride. 2-Best bang for your buck. 3- Eastiest install. 4- Best offroad capability. 5- The best kit in general. I have been told the Bilstien 510 is a great choice but before i pull any triggers i'd like to know all my options as I won't be getting the kit within a month or two as the truck only has 900 miles.   2. Its been awhile since I've put up an update post on what I have done to my truck in the past few months. So here is the list.... -RC 2 inch leveling kit -Carven performance exhaust ( Competition muffler ) -Aftermarket taillights ( returning soon as they already have issues ) -future planned taillights are morimoto's -Black bowtie swap front and rear -I may get aftermarket headlights in the future if prices go down. -Custom HD towing mirrors ( The front LED turn signals are sequential ) -20 inch light bar mounted onto a license plate bracket mount -20x10 -25 offset dropstar 655bm -33x12.5 toyo open country RT's -Front end air dam removal with trimming for tires -LED turn signal bulbs All these mods were done myself except for the tow mirrors since i had them done at my Chevy dealer so that i made sure everything worked properly and was warrantied for the wiring harness. Please give me your thoughts and opinions on my build and give me any pointers o what i should do next to the truck. I'm thinking about getting a cold air inductions CAI next.
  3. I'm looking at a 2015 1500 with a 4.3, 3.42 gears. I would add a leveling kit with 33x12.5s. What should I be expecting for gas mileage? Would a 5.3 get better MPG with the lift/tires? What is your current tire/lift/engine/mpg? I tried the search feature but couldn't find a ton of what I was looking for.
  4. Hello All, This is my first time posting in this forum!! Just bought a DiabloSport Itune I3 Platinum Programmer. I am looking for some decisive direction as well as suggestions on the best parameters for tuning my truck with the I3 Platinum. Specs of Truck: 2014 Silverado Z71 LTZ 2WD Crew Cab Rough Country leveling kit installed 33" x 12.5" x 22" Nitto Terra Grappler G2 A/T tires 5.3L Ecotec flex engine K & N Cold Air Intake installed Gentle 46k miles I RUN 93 OCTANE IN THIS TRUCK Being a 2 wheel drive (It Does have the Z71 package, Rancho shocks, etc...) Obviously it raked in the front. First thing I did was put the K&N CAI on and it was like a rocket in Manual 5 gear mode, when I shifted through the gears myself. After leveling kit and 33's with aggressive tread, it was complete garbage. No power, confused shift points, almost like missing. Just a hot mess. So I bought the Intune I3 first, rather than switching to a 4.10 gear (which I may do later). Already turned off AFM and that was immediately effective. Also, 15% throttle boost. Can anyone suggest the best parameters to make this bad boy get up and GO!!?? I would like to know if there is a good idea on what ECM and TCM adjustments should be made to not only get that stock power back on 33's. But also get good fuel economy. The standard Diablo Flex, Jammer and 91 tunes don't seem to help a whole lot. Still bogs down and takes forever to get through 1st and 2nd gear. Anybody know about these tuners on a 14 Silverado with 33's?!?!?! Please help!!! Alan

  6. I've been looking at the AMP Terrain Grippers as they are a pretty good price for around $800 for a set of 33s and are a really aggressive all terrain tire design. If anyone's running them can you please post pics and reviews on them such as road noise, comfort, and tread life etc...
  7. Hello! I this past Friday I picked up my new truck, coming from a 2014 Silverado in similar spec, I am quite impressed with it. I have been searching around the forms for days now and couldn't find a picture of a k2 running 28570R17 terra grapplers. If anyone runs a similar setup I would love to see pictures. ​Looking forward to a extremely mild build. Thanks! rm

  9. Putting a 6 inch lift and 35's on my truck. I notice it says you need the hypertech programmer to calibrate the tires for larger size. A buddy of mine Recently put at 7.5 inch kit with 325/65/20 on his truck without the programmer and every time he takes a corner, His traction control goes off and doesn't let him accelerate because it senses he's slipping. Does the programmer fix this as well? and does anyone know what size tires you can go up to without needing the programmer?
  10. Well the time has come and I have decided to lift my truck 2014 GMC Sierra Sle z71. I am sold on the bds kits but I do not know whether to get the 6in or the 4 in kit. The tires I would like to get are 35 in toyo at2 with 20in fuel hostages. But I am also stuck on deciding whether to get 35s or 33s I really do not want to have to do any trimming. I am going to get the fox shocks in the rear with the leaf spring option as well. So the main questions I have are 1.does the lift kit void the warranty? 2.should I go with the 6in or 4in lift kit ? 3.Should I go with 33s or 35s ? 4.Will there be a major change in the accuracy of the speedometer? 5.if there is can you please tell me how to fix that? 6. Can anyone who is running these kits show me pictures? 7. How is the ride after the lift? 8.how much is the change in mph with the 6 and 4 in kits If in the end if I do go with the 6in lift I am going to get 35s regardless I personally do not like the look of having all that lift and small tires. I was debating on 33s if I get the 4 in lift but it can also fit 35s .Im sorry for all the questions but this is the first time I am ever lifting a truck and I would like to do it right . I am open to all opinions and all replies are greatly appreciated
  11. OK- I don't know if there is already a topic on this but I wanted to start one. Its not a HUGE deal but I am curious of what other guys are getting on their MPGs with leveled trucks and WHAT PSI are you running with these E RATED TIRES. I ask because I posted up a picture and was told by several people to run anything rom 40PSI to 60PSI. I have had my tires on for about 7000 miles. The first 4000 I ran 37PSI and only used 91 octane gas. I live in ARIZONA and drive mostly on freeway and flat services. I could not get better than 13-14 MPG. When I hit 5000 miles I bumped my PSI up to 40-45psi and only used 87 fuel grade. This is where I was surprised. After only one take of gas at the lower grade my mileage bumped up to 15.5-16.0 mpg. Same driving conditions etc. Should I bump it up to 50PSI? Anyone notice any weird wear patterns on the TOYO OPEN COUNTRY MT Tires? I am running a 2.5 level kit up front only with 295/55/20 tires. THANKS!
  12. Got them after some time and think they look pretty sick....specs 20x12 rebel 6s on 33 toyo mts. missing center caps but will be put on.
