Hey Everyone- I have a 2022 AT4 (5700mi) and its it has a shudder/hesitation during steady and/or light throttle acceleration between 25 and 70 MPH. Anyone else experiencing this or has and got it "fixed". Reproduced it for a ride along with the dealer, but need to figure out a plan or approach to fix this. They have mentioned maybe a fuel injector, maybe a new transmission.... Thoughts? Recommendations? Also, what site does everyone use to search for TSB's?

Similar to the 18" post, I want to see a thread with a 100% stock setup and what size tires you put on for 20" stock wheels only. This thread is not for leveling kits or aftermarket wheels. Post up some pictures! Let us know what size your tires are and what kind. I'm really only interested in doing very minor trimming if needed. My last truck I just had to zip tie the liner a little further back. Thanks! My current stock AT4

Okay guys I bought this truck from a dealership in September. It was used and I got a 30 Day warranty. After the 30 day period, this is what’s happening. I got in my truck and noticed a rough idle. My truck would shake and out of no where the check engine light starts flashing and my traction control light comes on. I took it to my buddies and we got a P0308 Misfire Detected Cylinder 8. So I did some research.. I also had a code which was P219B. Air/fuel mixture ratio. I changed the spark plugs.. didn’t work. I moved coil packs.. the misfire didn’t move. So we watched Live data on the scanner and injector 7 was acting up. So we replaced all the injectors on that side and this truck is still missing.. I’ve ran seafoam through it and cleaned the throttle body and MAS. My buddy things I have a valve issue or something wrong with the cylinder… there is no AFM deleted or anything of that sort. The truck has worked flawlessly until now. 135,000 miles on it. The rocker arms all looked great. please someone give me something to try. I just want my truck fixed lol. posting a link below of what it’s doing…

I recently bought a Sierra 1500 Denali because I love this truck but I am now noticing parts are really hard to find, I want to replace or delete my quad steer but have no idea where to start or look. I haven't been able to find anything in hours. Any help?

The LED lights in the passenger side headlight of my 2016 Sierra 1500 Crew Cab are sporadically not working. Sometimes the are on, sometimes they aren't. The driver side functions properly all the time. The main light in the center of the headlight works fine all the time. I took it to the dealership and they replaced the whole headlight. When I turned on the truck a few hours after I picked it up from the dealership the LED lights were not working again. Has anyone had or heard about this issue? I'm going to take it back to the dealership, but would love some advice from anyone else that has dealt with this issue. Thanks!

Anyone else with a new 2014 Sierra having an issue with the frame rusting and paint/wax flaking off? I have 3000 kms and it looks horrible. I also own a 2011 Canyon service truck with 105kms and the frame looks like new. So irriating as my Sierra is a beautiful truck aside

TIA for your help and time… BLUF: Ticking noise under truck, not heard from top of engine compartment. I noticed a ticking/clicking/pinging noise under my truck today, took a video, hopefully you can hear it. Anyone else? Truck was in Park and Neutral (Parking brake engaged) and still heard the sounds.

Hey everyone. I have a 2016 Sierra Denali. A while back I opted to do away with the magnaride struts and installed BIlstein 6112s in the front with Cognito UCAs and BIlstein 5100s in the rear, also added Xineering bypass kit to clear the Magnaride errors. I had an issue recently with the stop mount on the drivers side strut blowing out. I contacted BIlstein about it and the rep told me he thought he had been told that the distance between the LCA and where the strut mounts into the truck frame at the top on a magnaride equipped Denali is shorter than a normal Sierra and that it was possible that the strut was too compressed, causing it to push through the top mount. Has anyone ever heard this or experienced this issue? I can’t find anything mentioned about it anywhere. I’m taking the truck in next week to get it fixed but if it’s going to just happen again I am wondering if I need to get different struts all together.

Sharing experience for your info and any ideas you might have. My shiny new 2021 GMC Sierra Denali 3.0 Duramax Diesel with 4900 miles on it has been losing its mind. I get multiple, rotating DIC messages: “Service ESC”, “Service Parking Brake”, “Service ABS”, “Adaptive Cruise Control Disabled”, “Steering Assist Reduced Drive with Care”, . . . ). The error messages come with other “benefits” besides disabled cruise control. I also enjoy no GPS signal, no Blind Spot sensors, no collision avoidance sensors, and who knows what else. Fortunately, the diagnostic codes were stored so the tech could see them, and I provided video of the DIC messages each time, too. They are on their 4th attempt to repair it now. First time, they replaced the Exhaust Particulate Matter Sensor (4025920) . Second time, they tried the same thing and replaced the Exhaust Particulate Matter Sensor, again. The 3rd time, they inspected the engine harness but found no damage so they replaced the pigtail to the Exhaust Particulate Matter Sensor and followed an 8 hr rest cycle and road test protocol. It worked for about 2 hours after I picked it up, then everything lit up again. This (4th) time, they are saying they will replace the entire wiring harness per GM’s direction. I do not want to use Florida’s Lemon Law, but I am starting the process just to be safe. BTW, I’m also getting the “long-crank/no-start” issue. They just applied the ECM update per TSB for this problem, so we’ll see if that worked when/if I get to keep the truck more than a couple hours between service appointments. I was having issues with the passive locking feature where the truck locks the doors a few seconds after I get out with the key in my pocket. It would not work even when set to on. Now that they did the Infotainment software update (V155) this seems to be fixed. I’m still having false messages that the SD Card for the Navigation System has been removed when it has not been. GM has a bulletin out so they know about this issue, but it appears there is no fix action on this one yet. After looking up each code listed on the repair orders (RO’s), I believe the main harness is a very likely cause of all the DIC error messages and system failures. Otherwise, all those modules and sensors involved have gone bad simultaneously. I suppose a power surge of some kind could do that, but then it seems the modules would not work fine in the short time between repairs. What suggestions or advice is available for buying a GMC | Chevy truck? What should I watch out for -- the GOOD and BAD? I want to come back to the GMC | Chevy family. For over 20 years, we owned a 98 GMC Suburban, putting over 230k miles on it myself, and I LOVED that truck. Other than typical wear and tear -- I never had any problems or issues with my Suburban. I am looking at 2016-2022 -- GMC | Chevy 1500 | 2500 series, all trims (4x4), except the base models. My budget is around $35k plus'ish; yes, I understand my budget limits what I can get. I am a USAF retired veteran living off a fixed income. Yes, we tow hitch pull RVs and various trailers, but not as often as before. What are the GOOD, BAD, and UGLY these days on the GMC | Chevy trucks? Is the additional price for either diesel and/or 2500 worth it? SHORT STORY: so, a few years ago, I bought a 2015 Ram 1500 4x4 EcoDiesel 6cyl w/turbo Lonestar -- well, I have been disappointed with Chrysler | Fiat (FCA). They lied about the EcoDiesel, and after forced recall ECM updates, they sucked all performance and mpg from the truck. Buying a newish GMC | Chevy, I do not want to fall into what happened with my 2015 Ram. When I had my suburban, I never had so many recalls, been lied to, and never had poor performance. 2005 GMC Sierra 1500 4x4 5.3 Oil Pickup Tube O-ring Replacement

Hello all, 2005 GMC Sierra 1500 4x4 L33 5.3 with 208k miles. I did some research, and found that my oil pickup tube o-ring is most likely causing my oil pressure 'issues' The 'issue' is that in the morning during the first start up of the day, the oil pressure registers low enough to trigger the low oil pressure warning. At idle in PARK it will usually stabilize (when cold) between 5 and 20 psi, but it will drop below that when idling in DRIVE as well, during the first few minutes of operation. Asthe engine warms up, the oil pressure increases, and generally driving down the road when cold it reads 20 psi, when warm its 30-35 psi. Like I said, I believe the culprit is the pickup tube o-ring. My question is, what is involved in dropping the oil pan to replace this $5 part? Do I HAVE to remove the front diff and everything associated with it?- 26 replies

My trucks going in for open heart surgery in a month. DOD delete, tsp stage 2 L83/5.3 cam in my L86/6.2. I eventually would love to put a blower on it. I drive the truck frequently and don’t want to do too big of a cam where I’ll have to change my torque converter. Will I get away with a L83 stage 3 cam with my stock converter or should I stick to the stage 2. Specs are 5.3L Stage 2 Camshaft w/ +32% Fuel Lobe: 218/226, 635", 113 LSA, 109 ICL All my mods will be intake, portable TB, (hopefully have my heads ported when it goes in for dod delete and cam) LT4 injectors, 1-7/8 long tube hears, off-road y-pipe. I’ll have a 3.5” electric cut out followed by stock exhaust for now. Trucks reverse level and blocks removed. 22x12 -51 285/35r22 no trimming or cutting

Hello everyone, On my 2020 GMC Sierra 2500HD Denali I did a hood air induction vent swap for a chrome vent cover and while I was at it I added Led RGB lights inside the vent taking care not to restrict the air flow. Has anyone else done any chrome or Led RGB mods? If so lets see them please.

1996 GMC Sierra 7.4 C3500 strange engine problems.

New guy here with engine problems. All parts are stock. No modifications have been done to engine and engine management to our knowledge. With that said, here is what is going on. Truck is a 1996 GMC Sierra. Crew cab, long bed, C3500, non dually. Has 7.4 454 Vortec and 4l80e transmission. Driveline has 147,000 miles and engine has good compression. All cylinders read 120 to 140 PSI. What's going on is the engine refuses to run properly. First up is the MAF sensor. Had the engine light on the dash so I used our OBD2 scan reader on it. Got P0102 which is Mass Air Flow sensor low output. Replaced the sensor with a Bosch unit and cleared the code. Next engine start that same code came back. I checked all the wires and plugs that section of the harness goes through. It has a good run to the computer. No frays or breaks. I even reset all plugs thinking there might have been some resistance in the connectors. No dice. Code comes back every time I clear it. Any ideas? Next up is the really serious problem that prevents the engine from running properly when cold. Low fuel pressure. According to our gauge it only has 20 PSI max and leaks down as soon as the pump turns off. On the fuel system we have a new pump in tank, fresh filter, and new regulator. That was a pain to install as the top of the intake manifold had to come off. Still have the low pressure and leak down. We thought the injectors were leaky but the thing is lean at idle as we sprayed starting fluid in the intake tube and the idle evened out. When cold it doesn't want to idle at all but will even out at 650 to 750 RPM when warm. Any idea what is going on? We have no idea what type of pump is in the tank as the people who own the truck put it in before we were tasked with fixing it. Still have the stock one. We plan to pressure test it and if it can go up to at least 80 PSI we will just put it back in and see what happens. So, any ideas on what is going on? I can record videos if any of you want to see the engine and hear it running. If anyone can figure this out I would greatly appreciate it as this goes beyond my knowledge of fuel injection problems. -
Hello, I have a 99 GMC Sierra 1500 SLT Z 71 off-road package. There is a huge backstory to this truck that makes it very important to me. throughout the two years I’ve had it I’ve been upgrading and building it. every time I go to the parts store it seems like there is an issue with the Vin number and the parts they give me. Believe me I know the incompetence of most part stores . NAPA auto parts seems to be the only parts store that has knowledgeable older employees competent enough to do an actual Vin search with cross referencing. They were able to use the cast numbers on my rear differential to verify what I had already thought. The rear end is out of an 05 GMC Yukon XL. all of the work that I have done has always been a chore first because the 99 is a 2 Truck year. there is a old body style 99 and a new body style 99 while at Napa they let me actually look at their computer screen and I noticed when They enter I started looking at Vin number identification and cross-referencing with RPO codes. The Vin number States that its 5.3 L V8 The RPO code says it’s a 4.3 L on the fan shroud it says 5.3 L V8 I look at my chilltom book and it tells me to look at the motor identification placard Saying that it is at the base of the back of the block where the transmission bell housing mounts. With a picture showing exact location. there is no placard there. so I check the cast numbers on the rear of the block passenger side. This is the biggest thing I’m having problems with. I ran those numbers on four different websites. on two of those websites There was no match through the search I checked small block and big block cast numbers from 1978 till 2013. these numbers do not match to anything Chevy put out. everyone keeps telling me it’s a small block 5.3 but the numbers start with 1256 those starting numbers do appear in the big block section. so I looked through it and found two Big block motors with almost exact numbers but off by one or two . I was starting to think that this is looking like a chop shop ordeal. when replacing the transmission and transfer case I noticed the wiring harness was mostly zip tied and not connected to stock anchor points. also the truck has 386,000 miles on it. The body is beat to crap. But the motor is exceptionally strong with exceptional power. My brother has an 05 Silverado with the same fifth wheel tow package same Z 71 heavy suspension and 5.3 L it was very real well taken care of by an old man the only used it to tow his camper. His truck only had 90,000 miles and my sierra out performs his in every single way. it has much more torque much more get up and go. and can haul so much more. with little to no problem on any incline he keeps telling me he doesn’t think it’s a 53 because of the power of the motor and the mileage The fender skirts had been ripped off on the front causing old mud splatter all throughout the engine compartment. But the motor is surprisingly clean except for a few valve cover leaks. it’s so clean it almost looks out of place. The coil packs are not new but they have no mud splatter but the plug wires have mud all over them. I could go on for days with reasons why I think the motor has been swapped. because of not being able to verify block casting numbers. I cannot be sure of what parts to buy or know what known issues I’m dealing with. I have read that 99 to 03 has some issues with PCV valve and badly engineered driver-side valve cover. intake gasket failure. I and Cass tech heads that crack causing head gasket failures. as soon as the weather changed warm the symptoms of all of these issues came up immediately. I am no mechanic and this is my first NBS Chevy. I am very mechanically inclined but I don’t understand electronics computers and vacuum in these new trucks. if anyone can give me any information on The Block cast #12560392 with lettering NMP6GMPT. or give me any verifiable information on how I can decipher exactly what motor this is what heads those are. I would like to start with the service bulletin pertaining to changing the driver Side valve cover gasket with better baffle and integrated PCV valve. feel free to ask any pertinent information you need. I ordered a GMC 2500 At4 6.6 liter gas engine on April 4th 2022. After I got the order number I found out how to get on gmcs website to check on production with the virtual assistant on 4/10. That day I found out my vehicle was already produced however it is now 4/20 and i still do not have a vin number so that my dealership can set up tracking. does anyone know how long it usually takes a finished truck to get its vin number??? accidently posted this on someone elses forum the first time sorry new member to this sorta thing

Would like to know if I can turn off the seat belt chime. I wear the belt on the highway but around job sites It's a pain.
