  1. John Goreham Contributing Writer, GM-Trucks.com 3-20-2019 NHTSA has reported that General Motors is recalling some 2016-2018 GMC Sierra 3500 and Chevrolet Silverado 3500 trucks with gasoline engines and dual fuel tanks. GM says that the fuel-level sensor in the front tank may stick in the low-level position, allowing the rear tank to overfill the front tank. If the front tank overfills, GM says that the excess pressure may cause the front tank to expand and contact the driveshaft, possibly resulting in a hole in the tank. This could cause leaking fuel, and increase the risk of a fire. GM has notified owners by mail. Dealers will replace the rear-tank fuel-pump module, inspect the front tank and, if necessary, replace the front tank. GM's number for this recall is N182204190. The NHTSA Campaign Number is 19V088000. About 19,000 vehicles are included in this recall. Check to see if your truck is on the list here.
  2. Hey all, we're a local Chevy dealer with a strong ecommerce presence. We have the lowest prices on the Kicker subwoofer package for the 2014+ Silverado & Sierra Crew & Double/Extended Cab sizes. Installation does not require dealer install. it is a plug and play package. We have guaranteed low prices that shouldn't be beat! GM offers a few versions of these units: -Double Cab and Crew Cab models have different parts numbers -GM offers just a sub upgrade, or the sub upgrade plus amplifier on the door speakers. *The standard Sub upgrade works with the Bose system. *The kit including Sub plus Amp on the door speakers will NOT work with Bose systems. For a price, please send us a message with your body style truck, and which kit you would be interested in plus your Zip Code for shipping. Everything is in stock ready to ship. Forum members will find that our prices on all GM accessories will be hard to beat. Please message me with any questions on this or any other accessory you may need for your truck. *** Currently running a little bit of a deeper discount on the crew cab models, with just the sub upgrade. Buy cheap, sell cheap is the name of the game ***
  3. Hi guys, new here! I have done a lot of research trying find a TPMS reset tool that will actually work with the thicker mud tires. I bought one from Amazon, the JDiag model, which works fine on a friends 15' Silverado, but I can't get it to work on my 14' Sierra. The only thing I think is keeping it from working is the fact I have the BFG AT KO2's which are a much beefier tire. Has anyone had any luck resetting their sensors with this type of tire, or any other heavy duty tires like on the 2500/3500's? If you did, which reset tool did you use. I see a lot of people saying they can't reset their sensors, but now I wonder if the thicker tires is what's keeping us from doing so?
  4. Heya folks, I have come across a 1993 chevy silverado 3500 with a swapped engine (502) I have little to no experience with cars. I've been looking at it with a mechanic who is considerably more experienced having worked on Cummins Diesels for a transport company. He's working on a truck of his own. I was trying to help him out by figuring out the firing order we've tried various ones, It doesn't appear to be misfiring but I have little experience with v8's so i'm not sure what a 502 or a 454 should sound like firing order-wise. I'd happily post a recording. Truck also has injection issues which means it needs a bit of help every time to start. It's also currently stuck in limp-mode as it will not exceed 1800rpm's. The computer has been 'tampered' with, presumably when the block was changed. It's currently with another mechanic who has a diagnostic system. Basically, I was hoping someone could post the firing order of a 502 and I could check when I get her back from the mechanic. Thank you all in advance
  5. I have a 2015 GMC 3500 that won't start without spraying ether. It will turn over, but unless we spray ether it won't start completely. Took it to Chevy, and they said they fixed it by fixing the fuel switch, and it continues. Plugged it in and no codes show up. Truck has 160,000 on it... HELP! ASAP. TIA.
  6. John Goreham Contributing Writer, GM-Trucks.com 11-5-2017 Is there anything more bad-ass than a dually with low profile tires? Maybe one with a 6.2-liter Duramax diesel engine cranking 910 lb-ft of torque, a fire suppression system, and other supporting equipment, including AMKUS Rescue Equipment. As part of the SEMA show celebration, Chevy created this one-off Silverado 3500HD Safari Safety concept vehicle. The idea is this is a truck that would run out onto the track in case of a crash and save lives and do track prep work. Chevy developed it in association with NHRA Safety Safari . A group that has evolved into the sanctioning body’s first-line safety team for the NHRA Mello Yellow series. The truck has a long list of specialized equipment beyond the usual list of 3500HD truck content, including: Fire suppression equipment with nitrogen cylinder and 80-gallon tank Bed-mounted aluminum frame with extendable mast Whelen red and green LED strobes and additional lighting Incident support equipment including shovels, brooms, fire extinguishers, jacks, car dolly and oil absorbent material AMKUS Rescue Equipment System 2018 Silverado Midnight Edition elements, including a black exterior, black bumpers, power-adjustable and heated trailering mirrors and a black mesh grille with chrome bars (Midnight Edition offered on Silverado 1500 and 2500HD production models) 22-inch black wheels with 305/45LT22 tires.

Hi all, Still relatively new to the site, so please excuse me if this is a duplicate post of sorts. I am looking to eventually do a lift/level on my 2017 ATX. I would love to keep it as stock as possible... So.. my question is, can I swap stock suspension for stock suspension... The system works with and is completely integrated with the factory MyLink infotainment system. Two cameras, one under each rear view mirror and an optional fourth camera that can be wired up to a trailer. 14. Hello I'm new to the forum so I hope I'm posting in the right place. I have a 2015 3500 hd sale with 6.0 I have the 8" display with nav. It is my work truck so time in the truck I use to make calls. Every time I make or receive a call the radio stops working obviously but when I end the call the radio never turns back on and I have to manually hit a stationary play. I am well rounded with Bluetooth as my Audi Q5 and my Isuzu dump truck have it but typically when I end the call the music resumes. I hope there is a setting that I am missing. Thanks in advance!
  15. 08 Chrome Mirrors

I have a set of chrome oem mirrors that I removed from my 2008 2500hd. Mirrors are all power and heated. They were removed in 2010 and are in excellent condition. I know they will fit many different applications (1500-3500, tahoes, suburbans, etc.) but am not sure what years. I am asking $50 for the pair shipped. Thanks for looking!
  16. Hey, I just recently picked up a new truck, it's a 2012 GMC Sierra 2500HD Denali with 85,000km. So far I'm really enjoying being back in a Duramax, one issue I noticed was that the Cruise Control isn't working. The light on the steering wheel comes on, but nothing on the dash. I did some looking online and rear about a potential brake light or brake pedal switch issue. All brake lights work as they're supposed to, and tapping/wiggling the brake switch does nothing while attempting to set the cruise. I couldn't find a fuse for the cruise control to check??? Also tried playing with the trailer brake controller and parking brake.. still nothing. Then I tried playing with the tilt steering, and voila... I managed to get the cruise to work and the light on the dash to come on for a minute. As soon as I moved the wheel I lost it again. If I cycle the tilt steering up and down and hold it all the way in the lowest position it will intermittently work. This leads me to believe everything is functioning properly, and I either have a broken wire or loose connection somewhere on the steering column. Does anyone have a wiring diagram or insight on where I should be looking for this wiring issue? Thanks!

  19. New to the forum and would appreciate any help offered. I have a 1990 Chevy K3500 4wd 7.4L truck I use for plowing. I've used it for 2 years and started having problems toward the end of last winter. I changed the passenger side front axle because of a tear in the boot the 1st winter. The problem is that the 4wd doesn't always work. I changed the actuator and checked the voltage at the plug which was 12 volts. When the 4wd stops working the drivers side front tire and passenger side rear tire spin but that is it. I would say it works 50% of the time when I'm plowing. Anyone have an idea of where to start ? Thanks Steve
