The LED lights in the passenger side headlight of my 2016 Sierra 1500 Crew Cab are sporadically not working. Sometimes the are on, sometimes they aren't. The driver side functions properly all the time. The main light in the center of the headlight works fine all the time. I took it to the dealership and they replaced the whole headlight. When I turned on the truck a few hours after I picked it up from the dealership the LED lights were not working again. Has anyone had or heard about this issue? I'm going to take it back to the dealership, but would love some advice from anyone else that has dealt with this issue. Thanks!

This project took me about 2 hours total. Please see the attached PDF for more photos and project details. I also included links to where I purchased my supplies. I can't say thanks enough to Smoothbassman, his input gave me the confidence to tackle this project. I am really pleased with how it turned out. FOOTWELL LEDS.pdf

Price update 10/24/19 Replacement Projector LED Headlight in Black Housing Clear Lens. Includes Hikari LED low beam upgrade wired and ready. Plug and play. This is a $500 setup that is ready to go. I got rid of the truck so no need for these anymore. Asking $150+shipping. -Direct Bolt On Replacement For Your Original Headlights, No Wiring or Any Other Modification Needed. - DOT & SAE Approved. This is plug and play with: 2015-2019 Chevy Suburban 2015-2019 Chevy Tahoe Compatible on Models w/ Factory Halogen Headlights Only. One headlight has a light scratch but if you took to a professional detailer they could likely sand it a little and buff it away to look new. The one picture shows it on what would be the passenger side just to the right of the ELLED band. No impact on lighting and with some professional polishing would probably just disappear.

Hello all. Has anyone had the dealer update their BCM on a 1500 to remove the bulb out detection system that causes the hyperflash? I was told they could on 2500 and 3500 but couldn’t on a 1500. I found this online which states the same I think (if I’m reading it right) https://gm.oemdtc.com/4610/07-08-42-006m-information-on-available-bcm-calibrations-to-restore-bulb-outage-detection-on-vehicles-produced-by-a-second-stage-manufacturer-upfitter-turn-signals-flash-fast-after-factory-box-remo But, I feel like I’ve seen where others had this done on a 1500, but coming up short in searching it. So any details would help! Im trying to put LED tail lights on my 2018 Silverado LT and really don’t want to add a bunch of resistors as I eventually want LED all the way around. Thank You! -Robert

I wanted to get the pulse of how many people have successfully had their Denali/LED headlamps painted? I am very interested in doing mine but have 2 major concerns due to the cost of these OEM lights: - Is it REALLY possible to get these re-sealed adequately to the point I should have little to no concern of condensation ever occurring after spending some serious money to have these painted? - Speaking of serious money, what is a reasonable amount to expect to pay? I know you can infinitely increase the cost of these projects by adding different LED switchbacks, different projectors, doing intricate paintings vs. just satin black everything, etc. What I'm wanting falls somewhere in the middle. I want to upgrade the LED switchback module (bc why not if I'm already in $$$ to crack them open?) which runs around $150 I believe, and I want a simple Satin black + (maybe) a portion color-matched as well (still on the fence) as well as the GMC stamped in the chrome of the headlamps to be the red color of the emblems. Does anyone have any input/feedback/advice/recommendations on this? If I have it done, I'd potentially be willing to send them off to someone to have them done, but shipping is a major added cost. Is there anyone in on of the following locations (that is highly recommended as well as reasonable??): Houston, TX - Where I live Austin, TX San Antonio, TX Dallas, TX Ft. Worth, TX Baton Rouge, LA Oklahoma City, OK Any and all comments are highly appreciated!

Hello Everyone, With the days getting shorter, I'm going to work in the morning when it's dark. I back into my space at work and it is really hard to see, my backup lamps don't put off a lot of light. I still have the incandescent bulbs in my 2018 GMC Sierra 2500HD SLT, has anybody upgraded or retrofitted to LED's ? I know with some to the older systems and LED replacement bulbs you had to install resistors, do you still need to do this? You can purchase just about anything in LED and they are they won't break the bank these days. Has anybody performed this upgrade, if so what brand of LED's are you utilizing? Are you only retrofitting the Reverse lamp bulbs? What about the Turn/Brake and Running lamp bulbs, if you retrofitted them to LED, would they be too bright? Interested in what others are doing.

Hey all, new to the site and I am wondering how I can properly add in some small led light strips to the underside of my power tow mirrors that will come on when I unlock the doors, like when the perimeter lights come on. The truck is a 2004 GMC Sierra SLT 1500...

Hey all....Longtime GM owner but first time forum member. Just received my 17 Sierra Kodiak Edition last week and have already started to tweak. I had the All Terrain X roll bar installed from the dealership and have put a 32 inch double row LED bush bar across and shortly will follow up with two four LED pods rear facing for when I load the trailers. My question is...and forgive me if it has been answered in another thread-which I could not find...Before I go running the harness' thru the firewall and drilling holes in my perfectly new dash to install two seperate switches for my forward and rearward facing LEDs...can anyone recommend a quality built remote set up to buy that has two channels to turn both these light packages on/off? Also to possibly take it one step further..instead of using the wireless fobs to activate, can I program my homelinks buttons instead? I don't have an electronic garage door opener anyway, so to program the two buttons overhead would keep it nice and clean looking inside the cab....any thoughts, feedback, recommendations? Storm

Anyone here try to install the flushmount LED foglight pods in the lower valance where the tow hooks usually go? I don't have the tow hooks on my truck so I was just wondering what it would look like or if anyone has already done it. Maybe even a single row light bar going across from where the hooks would usually be, in the small space that's there?? Here's a pic of where I'm talking about.

Can 2016 Silverado LED headlights be put on a 2015 Silverado? I've looked around online and can't find anything on it. It's the one option I really wish I had when I purchased my truck, the new LEDs look so much better and are so much brighter than my halogens. Thanks guys, Greg

Hello fellow GM truck owners. My pops owns a 2015 Silverado LT and he's been talking about getting some new headlights and I figured it would be a perfect father day gift if I just got them for him. I would love some feedback on what you guys would suggest. He's picky when it comes to his truck (as most of us are) and he says he would want some light blue almost white kind of beam not blinding bright but at least as bright or a bit brighter than stock. I am pretty sure the stock ones are just regular halogens (don't quote me on that) but I am also not sure wether to go HID or LED. It's very specific but any feedback is welcomed! Pics would be appreciated ? Thanks.

Now that I finally got all my dash lights working with Blue Leds, I noticed my speedometer has stayed on "100"'. I have not test driven it yet to check for shifting problems. Question: Do you think removing the negative battery connection and re attaching to check for the proper lighting of each LED (I had to do this about 6 times, my bad, newbie here) would have damaged the stepper motor on the speedometer? Would a reset (removing the negative connection) reset the dial? OR Should I removed the cluster assembly again and use gravity to swing it the other way? Then re-install. Would LEDS interfere with the cluster? Thanks for any help with this. The Blue lights are nice but I purchased them on Amazon for around $12 and the base contacts were about 30 degrees off from the OEM twist bases. Took me awhile to solve the issue. (TMSANIASTI -That's my story and I am sticking to it)
