I understand the tire subject has been beaten to death but please hear me out. I currently have the Nitto Ridge Grapplers in 295/55/20. They are E rated tires. I really like how they look but after running them for 2 years, they are loud and harsh in my 2017 crew cab sierra denali 4x4 6.2L . I'm looking for a quiet tire with a SL load rating, comfortable ride but aggressive look. I'll probably be going with 275/60/20 for the new tire size but also considering 285/55/20. I've been doing tons of research, reading reviews and forums but since I have no experience with the 3 tires in the poll, I'm specifically looking for people with first hand experience switching from an E rated tire to a SL / XL / P rated tire. I have also owned the Nitto TerraGrapplers and did like them ok but looking for something different. My truck is mainly driven in the city 85%, highway 10% and about 5% in the country (gravel, muddy fields, etc) while hunting a couple times a year. I also live in Missouri, so we do see some snow from time to time but that is not much of a concern with 4x4 already. Price is less of a concern but since it is relevant: Falken Wildpeak 275/60/20 - $238 each or $952 for 4 Toyo OpenCountry AT3 285/55/20 - $234 each or $936 for 4 Toyo OpenCountry AT3 275/60/20 - $266 each or $1064 for 4 Goodyear TrailRunner 275/60/20 - $156 each or $623 for 4 I'm getting old and want a smoother ride=lame. I know the magnaride is not the smoothest, I plan to see if the tires do the trick for me and if not, suspension is next. Many thanks!!

Truck was purchased new in November 2014. It's the 5.3L, with 3.42 gears. SLT crew cab short box 4x4 model. I added the G4 Elite Fold-A-Cover week 1.

I searched for a thread that would provide some feedback on this, but did not find any actual comparison between the two tires. With that said, I would like to hear from those that have owned both of these tires and get their feedback. Could you tell a difference in ride quality? Did the R/T handle better? Did it wear down slower? Did your highway MPG improve? Once I lifted my truck, I put on 35x12.5x20 Toyo M/T tires, and in all honesty I really have no complaints. With that said, if the R/T is a more functional daily driver tire then I see no reason to not switch if the benefits are there. Appreciate any and all feedback.

Hello, I was looking to get some help deciding on a size tire for my 2019 Silverado RST. I was looking to throw on a 1.5" leveling kit for the time being, and go to King coilovers with control arms at some point down the road. I know that with a level, I can't go too crazy for a size, so I was looking to pair a set of Method MR315's in either 17x8.5+0 or 17x9-12 with the following Toyo Open Country MT tires: I know that the 285/70R17 C rated tires would be the best riding, and fit no problem, I'm just worried they will wear fast because of only being 6 ply. But I like the looks of the 285/75 and 295/70. What I am trying to do is find a decent sacrifice of weight (I know they are the heaviest tires, I don't need to be reminded), comfort (relative), and size (I have the 5.3, 8 speed, 3.23 gears, I don't want it to be a dog or hunt for 8th gear on the highway). Anyone have any opinions? I know I don't really "need" the Toyo's, but man are they the best looking tire I have ever seen. I'm also considering the Falken Wildpeak AT3W in the following sizes:

I have a set of Toyo Open Country AT2 Extreme 305/55r20 essentially the same as 33x12.5x20 10ply tires for sale. They have approximately 8k miles on them and are in great shape. Tires even have the needles still on them. I changed my wheel setup and the tires wont work with the new setup. Im located in Fort Gordon, GA and will deliver within a reasonable distance. They cost me over 1400 new looking to get 1100 obo. Tires have no plugs, patches, etc.

I am in the need of new tires and currently i have the stock 17 inch rims and stock tires. I am going back and forth whether i should level it or lift it and get 33's if level or 35's if lifted, or just get 275/65 18 with new wheels. The cost is just quite high and i don't know if it is really worth it to level or lift it. Quotes Leveling 2.5 in with 33/12.5/20 Toyo RT is like $3800 5 inch lift with 35/12.5/20 Toyo RT is $5000 or just get Toyo AT and 18 inch wheels is like $2100 I just don't know if can/should justify either the level or the lift. And would love to hear anyone's thoughts on the matter. Thanks- 91 replies

2015 GMC Sierra All Terrain When I bought it last weekend it was already leveled and tinted (why I bought this particular truck over others). Added the wheels/tires and Morimoto 5500k HIDs Friday, Plasti-Dipped the emblems yesterday and cleaned her up today and took some pics today. Wheels are 20x10 Hostile Sprocket with a -19 offset. Tires are Toyo Open Country RT 33X12.50R20.

Wanted to get a few new features. By far the best upgrade is the new LED headlights and the DRLs. Love the look. Apple car play and the 8 speed transmission we also a must. Must say I'm happy with these upgrades.

I am running a RCX 5" lift also with .5" spacer and currently running Nitto trails in 305/55/20 on 20x10 -12 fuel Mav rims. I would like to upgrade tread size with the Toyo At II's, problem is I am not sure the biggest size I can go with the 10 wide (without major rubbing) rim??? Any suggestions?? Thanks!

Long story short I was looking for a used 2010-2012 Sierra or Silverado with the 6.2L and a few options. Ended up finding a dealership who had some hail damaged trucks with blow out prices. So after a two weeks of emails with the salesmen there I made the 900 mile drive to Nebraska from Alabama. I ended up purchasing a brand new 2014 Silverado Double Cab LTZ 4x4 from Sid Dillon Chevrolet in Blair, Nebraska on November 8th 2014. The trucks sticker price was $48,625 I walked out of the dealership paying $28,000 for a brand new heavily optioned LTZ. The only options I do not have are the sunroof, navigation, max trailer and some of the special features exclusive to the high country. Currently she is sitting at 4,573 miles not a single complaint nor do I think I ever will have one. But the time has come to make her my own! Hope you all enjoy the build thread!!! Anybody running 285/55/20 under a leveled 2014+ SIlverado/Sierra? Looking to add Toyo OC AT2 on stock GMC All Terrain wheels with a 2" RC level but not sure if there will be any rubbing with these. If someone has a similar set up please post pics. Was originally set on getting 275/60 since I was assured there would be no rubbing/issues with these but after looking at the sidewall tread they do not look as aggressive as the 285 extreme.

Help with tires - 2008 silverado 1500

Hey so i was thinking of buying some new tires for my truck, no she isn't lifted yet but i really wana grab me some toyo open countrys mt or duratracs. Ive never EVER been good with tire sizes an understanding them, back spacing, off set ect ect.. Why? I dont know..never really looked into it i guess lol. Called a few places looking for tires those tires an they carry them but they said not in that size because they aren't made in that size. Dont know if thats true or not but whatever. truck has stock 275/55/20's So my question is.. What size would i be able to upgrade to an still be able to keep the 20's If i cant keep the 20s what would be the next best rim size for it, i wana try to stay with 20s i like the size of em. You guys mind giving me a few recommendations with examples. And if its only achievable by doing a level kit, any recommendations on kits too? It has 2wd/4wd Auto and 4x4lock if that makes a difference, i know it does for suspension lift kits but shouldn't for a level -
I am looking to purchase some new tires. I drive a 2012 GMC Sierra SLE 4x4. Along with the tires I am going to get the 2.25 in ReadyLift Level Kit. So i am pretty sure I can fit 285/65/18. Stock wheels. I had the chrome packsage so it is the chrome wheels, im not a huge fan of chrome so I actually painted the mirros and handles back to the truck color. (photo attached). I have owned a pair of BFG ATs on a Jeep and I loved them, I also owned a pair of Mickey Thompsons on a reg cab WT and they looked great (photo attached)... but you had to rotate them religously or they would wear uneven. Reading other posts Nitto Terra Grapplers seam popular, along with BFG AT, Cooper, and I read some things on Toyo ATII. I drive 85% highway. to and from the formal prison (work) and then typically deer or waterfowl hunting or helping work on the farm on the weekends. I get into some mud and snow.. I live in Missouri, but I defintely want something that will do good in the rain on the highway. I had Firestone Destination AT -terrible in the rain and snow. Any suggestions are appreaciated.
