Does anyone know if there are aftermarket general harnesses or loop harnesses that plug between the back of the infotainment system and the body harness? I want to be able to take the audio signal from each of the speakers, send it to the rear of the truck into a DSP and amp, and then back to the body harness and into the speakers. I don't want to cut factory wiring. I've checked Crutchfield and a little bit online but i don't seem to see anything for 2020. New to GM trucks and dealer is currently locating my truck for a dealer swap, and appreciate any help or input. Thanks MR

If anyone is experiencing any sort of radio glitches and want to reset it until you have a service appointment, or just reset it in general for some sort of glitch, there is a radio reset you can perform yourself that does not involve disconnecting the negative battery terminal. With the key on engine off or engine on, press and hold the mute/phone hang up button on your steering wheel for 15 seconds. This will initiate a radio reset. Not sure if this has been mentioned or shared anywhere yet. I have not tried this with 19-22 trucks, nor have I tried this on 2022.5+up with the old small radio, but this will work on the people with the new radio 13.4" IOK.

I having issues using usb drives. I purchased the first shipment to the dealers. Had issues with the display between the gauges, locking up and turned blank. After the software updates my usb drive does not work anymore. I was using a 32 gig original after the first update to then the display stopped blanking out but the usb stopped reading in either port. The dealers showed me a tech bulitin that stated not all usb will not work, but could not tell me what would. I went down to a 1 gig and it worked until the last update now nothing’s works. Any ideas

So I just got a 2018 Silverado 2500 and am wondering if anyone has experienced this in there’s. when I turn my truck off and then open and shut the door to make the radio turn off I can still hear what I can only assume to be the fan in the radio stay on. If I lock the truck it turns the fan off for a second and then it comes back on. If I push the power button on the radio it shuts off but again comes on. Anyone have any thoughts or does this happen in anyone else’s 2014-2019? It didn’t happen in my 2016 that had the same infotainment center that is the reason for my concern.

I traded in a 2020 2500 truck for a 2021 2500 Denali and have nothing but problems, and the Dealer I have been using has not been helpful at all. The primary problem is the radio screen will go blank while driving down the road, but the steering wheel controls still work. The radio was flashed to the latest update, and still has the same problem. Code U0184:00 The power folding mirrors went out and the dealer took four months to replace the mirrors to resolve that problem. I picked up the truck and drove home and the fog lights stayed on until I cycled the ignition 3 times. The next day the reverse lights were on all night, until I cycled the ignition a few times, while driving down the road (with the reverse lights on) the camera view was active. NOW the dealer says the truck is out of warranty and can't help!! 20220124_084706_2.mp4

Hi all, my 2017 Z71 has been having issue for a while now and getting worse. CarPlay will just put calls on hold randomly, sometimes calls go to hold over Bluetooth even. Sometimes the screen stops being responsive to touch and I have to use the menu knob. Something’s it randomly changes screens, opens settings, tries to adjust the clock, like it’s possessed. I have it at a dealership right now getting the 50k service and asked them to look into it and he called and said nothing. Can’t find any issues. I explained again and he said he would relay to the tech… I am not confident and unsure what to even ask. any input or advice would be super helpful. Thank you much.

https://share.icloud.com/photos/07fPc8Q-zYTTNT4psmCkhHteA i have a 2018 Sierra and the radio screen randomly started glitching and blacking out, however I can still touch things, the audio works, i can make phone calls and navigation works. I already pulled the fuse and replaced it and reconnected the gm interlink connections under the glove box. Also it doesn’t do it on the mornings when I go to work but on the way back it does. I attached a link for a video of it. Any suggestions?

Can any give some insight on which wires are connected to which speakers on the green plug. I have attached a picture. There are a total of 10 wires and I’m assuming they are (LF+/-)(RF+/-), (RR+/-), (LR+/-) 12V and ground but do not know which goes to where. Any help would be appreciated! Thank you!

Hi Everyone, I could have sworn I already posted this, but I can't find it anywhere. My 2015 GMC Sierra All Terrain SLT 1500 truck's media center seems is glitchy, it's either that or I have a haunted truck. I'll be driving and my radio display and my odometer display will randomly start selecting items and cycling through the menu, it will randomly change stations, and one time it even selected voice command, all without any input. Anyway, I've experienced this issue before and I took it to the dealer and while they told me they had never heard or seen the issue before they suggested that they would perform a software / firmware update on my infotainment / intellilink system to see if that would fix the issue and it worked.... for a few months, now it's back. I was wondering if anyone here has experienced the same thing and if they were able to find a permanent fix for it? It is absolutely annoying and very distracting. I have searched this forum and I haven't seen a post from a member that has the same thing that I have experienced. Any help would be appreciated, I'd like to have a permanent fix for this once and for all. I've include a video of what's going on.

So my battery needed a jump on sunday leaving o'riley's. got them to give me a jump and as i'm driving home, the radio shuts off. now the tv only turns on when I put the truck in reverse. i checked the radio fuse and its good. also opened up the glove compartment and unplugged the blue cable for 15 sec like i saw in a youtube video. I should also add that im able to listen to the radio using the steering wheel controls but only for about 15 min before it shuts itself off.

So i had a dead battery the other day i went to take out the battery and get it charged because they told me it was still good, so when i put the battery back on the truck and went to start it the screen would stay black . I have tried disconnecting the battery and connecting it back (negative first then positive) , i have tried taking the fuse in and out for the radio, and i have tried moving the connections under the cabin filter. Please help thank you

Okay, First time listener, first time caller... Sorry just had to. When I get frustrated I handle it with humor. So, what I have is this issue. I purchased 7" In Dash 7010B from Wish and bench tested power up Then I ordered the PAC RP5-GM11 Interface. Wired up as instructed. And viola, no power. I then searched for NO POWER (PAC) and came upon the Tech Bulletin. Completed those instructions, and NADA. I've got nothing. So, yesterday, I contacted service on Wish & Amazon to start over. Have a new/different radio coming, and a new RP5 coming. Who has successfully wired these RP5's into a suburban? Is the selector correct to be on 7(Other)? Obviously, I am doing something wrong... Any help would be appreciated. j-vet

Radio Rewind/'Playback Issue
medwickj posted a topic in 2014-2018 Silverado & Sierra Troubleshooting
I have a 2015 Silverado LTZ and when I use the "rewind" feature to listen to a song again, the song just skips the entire time. I have perfect radio reception and it does it most of the time. I brought it to the dealer and they could not replicate the problem. Driving home it did it again so I took a video of it. I previously owned a 2014 (which GM repurchased from me due to numerous other problems) and I did not have this issue. Chevy is quickly loosing my confidence... -
Bought truck in July and had infotainment issues from the start, the screen is black but backlit, the screen displays but will not work with touch, sometimes the hard buttons will move it other times not. The climate control changes sometimes will display, loss of back up markers, sometimes loss of back up camera with a screen error of connection lost, audio is lost sometimes, CarPlay won't always sync and I'm sure other things I am forgetting as well. Only has issues on start up, never going down the road so I don't think its a lose or broken wire, improper pin alignment. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Its so random how long it doesn't work for, not very often stopping and starting will fix it, sometimes its a day or more before it works again. The radio was replaced at dealer, 2 weeks later it starts acting up again, dealer worked with TAC(?) to determine they were replacing the radio again, strike forced it to be delayed but eventually replaced, less than 2 weeks later same thing, then they replaced the screen/digitizer, I went to pick it up, started truck and screen was blank. Now after having my truck for about 3 weeks (this time) GM wants to try replacing the bus cable from radio to screen but they want me to not connect my iPhone as they think it could be causing the issue, even with video documentation showing my phone not plugged in and blue tooth disabled and 2 times with dealership mechanics seeing my phone in my pocket. My questions are - 1) anyone else have this issue? what was the fix? 2) What kind of compensation should I be seeking for 5, almost 6 months now of it not working right, repeated trips to dealership, long waits in lounge, being told it was fixed only to show up and it's not? I have kept extensive records for every time it happens, videos of probably half of the instances.

So i have a 2021 Silverado Custom and Ive been wanting to upgrade my clusters and Steering wheel. I see alot of people saying it the Audio controls dont work because of the radio but from what I've seen there are LT trims that also have IOR radios(like the customs and w/t) and Steering wheel controls. With that being said, then the wiring is possible for steering wheel audio controls to work, no? and if the clusters are swapped as well, wouldnt the steering wheel be able to connect to the new clusters?

Hi, I'am looking for any and all information for upgrading the current factory non-navigation head unit to a factory navigation unit in a 2013 Suburban. The plugs don't match up so I would need to make my own plug & play harness or purchase one. I already have the navigation head unit and have a Snap On scanner to program it once installed. Infotainment via Ebay sells the complete set with head unit and all with a plug & play harness to accomplish this but they are unwilling to sell just the harness. https://www.ebay.com/itm/FACTORY-STOCK-OEM-CHEVROLET-GPS-NAVIGATION-RADIO-UPGRADE-CD-HDD-DVD-PLAYER-BOSE/131306773280 https://www.infotainment.com/products/gm-premium-factory-gps-navigation-radio-upgrade?variant=324252773 If I have to make one I will but I would need the wiring diagram from a non-navigation Bose system and a diagram from a navigation unit with Bose as well. Has anyone got experience with this and if so, can you help me out? I'am not looking for aftermarket install. Thank you very much.

I have a 2020 GMC Sierra 1500 with 3.0 diesel, Sometimes when I shut the truck off and then get back and start it up,, the radio says the satellite is lost, trying to reconnect, but it won't until I shut the motor off and get out of the truck or at least wait at least 2 minutes or more with the motor and radio off,, then restart and the radio works fine,, this only happens with xm,, fm and am work fine,, I have contacted my dealer and they say it must be xm,,, contacted xm,, they say it must them the radio, It doesn't do this all the time,, just once in a while,,, no matter how long I drive with it saying it is trying to reconnect, it never does,, wondering, Am I the only one having this problem? Not sure who to talk to next,,, any ideas? Thanks

I started my Sierra yesterday and the dash screen is dark. No radio, no bongbongbong when I open the door. No info about ventilation system, etc. Does anyone know the name and location of the fuse for this? I hope that's all thats wrong.

I’ve not seen anyone talking about this as a possibility so I’m hoping I can find someone who would know. So I just recently purchased a 2020 Chevy Custom Trail Boss which I think was one of the better packages for the price, minus a few perks. Anyways, I’m curious to know if anyone has attempted to swap the 7” infotainment center out for the 8” infotainment center plus installing the Audio controls on the steer wheel. Can this be done and if so how difficult is this going to be?
