So i have a 2021 Silverado Custom and Ive been wanting to upgrade my clusters and Steering wheel. I see alot of people saying it the Audio controls dont work because of the radio but from what I've seen there are LT trims that also have IOR radios(like the customs and w/t) and Steering wheel controls. With that being said, then the wiring is possible for steering wheel audio controls to work, no? and if the clusters are swapped as well, wouldnt the steering wheel be able to connect to the new clusters?
I have a 2009 GMC Sierra 1500 non-Bose. I have have had a touchscreen for about a year and am ready to go back to factory since I have gotten rid of my iPhone which is why I had the touchscreen in the first place. I got an AudioControl LC7i so I had bass restoration to feed my 5 channel amp. My question is, where are people locating their LC6 or LC7i? I saw one post on another website that put it into their center console, but I do not have Bose and will be pulling signal from behind the dash. That would mean pulling seats up and carpet and I am not sure I want to get that involved. I also plan to tie in power from the junction box at connector x14. I could put it in the rear with amp, but then I have long runs of speaker wire and power down the track. Just looking for some suggestions of anyone with an install. Thanks
