  1. Anyone else having their infotainment system rebooting frequently? I have the 2020 Silverado 2500 HD High Country. It's fairly random unfortunately. Some days it will reboot 3 or 4 times, other days not at all. We just took a 600 mile trip after the dealer installed a small software update and it only rebooted once the entire trip. We brought it in to the dealer today for the larger software update, and it rebooted on the way home. Now we have to bring it back in so they can contact Chevrolet and see what they want to do about it. Just wondering if anyone else is having the same issue.
  2. Bought truck in July and had infotainment issues from the start, the screen is black but backlit, the screen displays but will not work with touch, sometimes the hard buttons will move it other times not. The climate control changes sometimes will display, loss of back up markers, sometimes loss of back up camera with a screen error of connection lost, audio is lost sometimes, CarPlay won't always sync and I'm sure other things I am forgetting as well. Only has issues on start up, never going down the road so I don't think its a lose or broken wire, improper pin alignment. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't. Its so random how long it doesn't work for, not very often stopping and starting will fix it, sometimes its a day or more before it works again. The radio was replaced at dealer, 2 weeks later it starts acting up again, dealer worked with TAC(?) to determine they were replacing the radio again, strike forced it to be delayed but eventually replaced, less than 2 weeks later same thing, then they replaced the screen/digitizer, I went to pick it up, started truck and screen was blank. Now after having my truck for about 3 weeks (this time) GM wants to try replacing the bus cable from radio to screen but they want me to not connect my iPhone as they think it could be causing the issue, even with video documentation showing my phone not plugged in and blue tooth disabled and 2 times with dealership mechanics seeing my phone in my pocket. My questions are - 1) anyone else have this issue? what was the fix? 2) What kind of compensation should I be seeking for 5, almost 6 months now of it not working right, repeated trips to dealership, long waits in lounge, being told it was fixed only to show up and it's not? I have kept extensive records for every time it happens, videos of probably half of the instances.
  3. I'd like to see if anyone else can reproduce this bug, or if it's just my truck. With truck sitting (cold boot), start truck and select a destination, could be 2 blocks away. When you've reached your destination, turn truck off, get out, perform Chinese fire drill, get back into truck. Start truck, select a new destination, this could be your original point. Wait a few seconds and computer crashes and the radio volume elevates. How do we report this bugs to GM so, maybe they'll give a **** and try fixing them?
  4. Just bought a brand new 2020 Trail Boss two days ago. Today I noticed that the radio/infotainment system is not turning off when the engine is shut off and the driver door opens, which should typically turn it off. Taking it to the dealer tomorrow to get it checked out. Anyone else have this issue? If so, were they able to fix it long term or is this a reoccurring issue? Thanks!
  5. I've had my truck now going on 3 years this past 4th of july, ive been having issues with my USB port and 110v Plug not working tried using new cable for Apple Car Play and still no luck, i called dealership and was told i am out of warranty (of course) and have to pay $199 just for inspection ......... I Dont Think So. Does anyone else have the same issue and solution? Ive already checked fuses and all look good, might i also add that at times my screen goes DARK while the truck is on as well thanks.
  6. Alright... let me take a deep breath... I just bought a 2019 Chevy Silverado Custom Trail Boss. I am having an issue with my 2019 Chevy MyLink infotainment system and its integration with my Note 9 since the Android Pie update. The issue: When I receive a phone call through Bluetooth OR Android auto, I am able to answer the phone call but... The ringer will NOT stop ringing on my infotainment system. The only way I can talk to the person on the other line is by picking up my phone and disabling it from the infotainment system (this did not happen at all on the previous software version and it was glorious). The ringer will also never turn off even after the phone call is ended. The only way I can turn the ringer off while driving is by turning it down (cannot switch back to radio to continue listening to music, which is very aggravating), so I am sitting in silence for the remainder of my trip... unless... I pull over on the side of the road, shut my vehicle down for 2 minutes to let the computer reset and start it back up. This issue does not occur on my work iPhone either... I thought that it might be an issue that chevy's infotainment support team could solve... It seems that it is not their issue because it only happens to android Pie software version phones and not any others. I call Samsung... do everything you could think of to troubleshoot this issue (finally factory reset my phone completely only to NOT resolve the issue). Samsung seems to believe that I need to send my phone in for a repair (even though it wasn't happening with the previous software version). Chevy thinks I need to just wait for a new software update for Android Pie... but I hate waiting because it is a very aggravating issue and love my music! Is ANYONE else having these same issues? Is there a solution that anyone can think of? I would like to just revert back to the previous software version and forget about it, but I am not sure of the problems that may cause...
  7. I believe I have a problem with the Infotainment system display in my 2017 Silverado. Basically, the display "Mode" remains in "Auto" with "Day" and "Night" modes either doing nothing or not available. Below are the steps I used to demonstrated this problem. I kind of think it might be a software problem caused by the 2016 to 2017 change over. If possible, could some of you with and without Navigation try these steps and tell me what you found. Infotainment manual shows two different ways the set display mode. Page numbers refer to the 2017 Infotainment manual. I tested in bright sunlight and just covered the dash light sensor to simulate night time. Thanks for any help you can provide. 1. Press “Home” hard button 2. Select “Settings” app 3. Select “Display” (page 100) 4. Available selections are “Calibrate Touchscreen” and “Turn Display Off”. Both work correctly. 5. The third choice of “Mode” as stated on page 100 is not present on my truck and therefor “Day”, “Night”, “Auto” are not selectable. 1. Press “Home” hard button 2. Select “Navigation” app 3. Select “menu” button (page 53) 4. Select “Map View” (page 55) 5. Select “Day/Night Mode” 6. Select “Auto” 7. Display correctly dims or brightens depending on ambient light level. 8. Select “Day Mode” 9. Display incorrectly dims or brightens depending on ambient light level. Display should always be bright. 10. Select “Night Mode” 11. Display incorrectly dims or brightens depending on ambient light level. Display should always be dim. Edit: I did not word this correctly. Changing the "Day/Night Mode" under the Navigation Menu did in fact change the Map brightness. The real problem is the it does nothing for the other screens (Audio, etc.). Bottom line: No way to control Display Mode on screens other than the Map screen.
  8. From the album: Service Report Log

My service report for the radio display after it was fixed. I am in no way implying that this is your vehicle's specific problem and/or solution, but I am posting this for general awareness and information purposes.
