So my battery needed a jump on sunday leaving o'riley's. got them to give me a jump and as i'm driving home, the radio shuts off. now the tv only turns on when I put the truck in reverse. i checked the radio fuse and its good. also opened up the glove compartment and unplugged the blue cable for 15 sec like i saw in a youtube video. I should also add that im able to listen to the radio using the steering wheel controls but only for about 15 min before it shuts itself off.

I have 2018 Silverado LTZ Z71 with the 8 speed transmission and running a 3 inch level kit on 35s. Stock gearing is 3.42 and looking to regear the front and rear diffs. Since I went 35s I can feel the difference in how it drives and MPG. I’ve talked to many people and some say 4.56 and others say 4.10 since it’s an 8 speed transmission. I’ve read many forum threads but never one specifying gearing and how it’s different with an 8speed. Most are talking about 6 speed. Does anyone here have this set up and what gearing are you running or do you recommend ? Thanks in advance.

Hey everyone - first post here and just bought a new-to-me 2014 Silverado 1500 LTZ Z71 all stock. This is also my first truck so I'm definitely a newbie and if I'm asking some simple questions I apologize, but I couldn't find the answers I was looking for on other topics. Basically, what I'd like to do is level my pickup. I thought about doing maybe a small lift but I don't really want to fork out the money and I think the leveled Chevy looks just fine. Any recommendations for this? Seen people put on 2 or 2 1/2" level kits - difference between my wheel well heights is pretty much exactly 2 inches. The other thing that I'm having more difficulty making sense of is a wheel and tire combo. Currently, I've got P265/65/R18 on it. What I'd like to do is get a bit more rugged look while also getting more ground clearance for a bit of offroading, and hopefully not affecting fuel economy and ride quality too much, but I understand you gotta sacrifice somewhere. What I'm having trouble understanding is if I should get larger wheels or taller tires to achieve the ground clearance part. I've read that getting larger wheels can mess with your speedometer and such. Any advice on if I should stick with my 18's right now, and if I end up buying new wheels one day should I also stick with 18's then? If I went ahead and got my pickup leveled, which (or both) would help me get that better ground clearance? Increasing tires or wheels? What's the largest combo you'd recommend (with the level) that still prevents rubbing? Definitely want to get that rugged look but I haven't been able to determine which route to chase down, as the options seem limitless out there for what you can do. Could I just get bigger, more rugged, maybe wider tires to put on my stock 18's? Thanks in advance to anyone willing to give a newbie some advice.

Wanted to reach out to the forum and see if anyone has ran into these issues with their radios. I have a Tuscany build 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 6.6L, LTZ, Z71 build and I have a stock radio head unit that seems to have problems when connecting any phone to it. I use one device (iPhone XS Max) and it works via Bluetooth, however, there are times when the Bluetooth doesn't drop off but I get no sound from the speakers but still shows the song playing. The workaround I have discovered is to cutoff the ignition and turn it back on and the song plays over the speakers. Is this a known issue or is this something I need to get my dealer to look at? TIA.

Took delivery of my 2017 CCSB LTZ Z71 on 1/6/17 after a couple of days of calls/emails with the internet sales manager at a local dealer. 7 miles on the clock when I arrived for my test drive, 15 when I returned it, and 18 when I took delivery 4 hours later. Plans are relatively tame at this point. First up will be tint, followed shortly by a level (currently debating between 2 and 2.5, also between 275/60r20 or 275/65r20 BFG AT KO2s). From there I'll probably keep it pretty low key for a while. Down the road exhaust and a remote light bar behind the grill might come in to the equation.
