2020 Sierra 1500 SLT After searching and reading through many threads without the specific answers I'm looking for, I'm hoping for some information and advice. I'd like to have 1 )the fog-lights come on with the parking lights, so the fog-lights are on all the time (even staying on with high beams if possible) 2) the Cargo Lamps illuminate when the truck is in Reverse. I'd like to know what plug/pin number to jump with the diode and what size diode/direction the diode goes (which way the stripe faces). Bonus points for photos (see below) I found this photo in a 2014 - 2018 GMC thread. The thread said the brown to pink is the cargo-reverse light mod and the brown to brown was the parking lights-fog lights mod. Are the plugs/wires/diode direction the same for the 2020? Is the 1Amp D1 diode the right one for these mods? Is the diode just pushed into the back of the plug, alongside the wire? I'd appreciate any help that can be provided. Please be sure to dumb it down for me and any other future searchers. I know I need all the help I can get!! Thank you for your time, DC

First time posting on here, I’ve tried Facebook for answer and have gotten nowhere. I have seen all of the cargo/reverse light mods and can’t seem to find what I’m looking for. I am wanting to add a set of reverse bumper lights to my truck, my problem that I’m trying to figure out is I want to either add a switch on my dash or use the existing cargo lamp switch to power them. I am only wanting my reverse lights to come on when I put my truck in reverse or turn the cargo light switch on but when I put my truck in reverse I do NOT want my cargo lights to come on. I want to be able to use my bumper lights anytime I please no matter if I’m parked or driving down the road but I also don’t want my tail light reverse lights to be on when I turn the switch on. Only when I put my truck in reverse do I want the factory reverse lights on, I don’t want them to be on if I’m driving down the road. I also don’t want my truck to display the R on the dash if I’m driving down the road and I turn them on. I figure I’m gonna need a couple of relays and diode or two but I not exactly sure what I will need or how to add them all to the truck and it function how I want it. I want to be able to add a switch into the bed for the bed lights as well so I need the cargo/bed light switch that I add to work with this setup I’m wanting to add.

I traded in a 2020 2500 truck for a 2021 2500 Denali and have nothing but problems, and the Dealer I have been using has not been helpful at all. The primary problem is the radio screen will go blank while driving down the road, but the steering wheel controls still work. The radio was flashed to the latest update, and still has the same problem. Code U0184:00 The power folding mirrors went out and the dealer took four months to replace the mirrors to resolve that problem. I picked up the truck and drove home and the fog lights stayed on until I cycled the ignition 3 times. The next day the reverse lights were on all night, until I cycled the ignition a few times, while driving down the road (with the reverse lights on) the camera view was active. NOW the dealer says the truck is out of warranty and can't help!! 20220124_084706_2.mp4

Hey guys, I think I blew it on the reverse light diode mod. My Cargo light won't turn off anymore.... the mod was working great until this morning. The cargo and bed lights would turn on along with the reverse lights when I unlocked the truck. Now however, the cargo lights won't shut off. Will this drain my battery? Anyone know whats going on?

Hey all! So, as y’all know I have a 2014 Silverado. I installed LED reverse and cargo bulbs a couple months ago but I noticed there’s interference, and I don’t know what to do to fix it. Calling all electricians out there that know what I could do to fix this. Open for any responses, suggestions, and solutions. Thanks, y’all!

so i just bought two led spot lights that i want to mount to my back rack, but i want them rear facing to help the factory reverse lights, id also like to use them as a work light to save from lugging around lights to job sites for working in the bed of my truck. now what i want is to wire the lights in with the reverse lights. so i need a relay for that, id also like to have them on a toggle switch to be able to use them when ever i need too be it for work or the guy who likes to tailgate a little too much. i know most people say just put it on a switch and any time i back up and need the light turn it on, but i want it so i dont have to think about it or have to worry about turning them back off when i put it in drive and start down the road. any help would be greatly appreciated as i am at a loss when it comes to wiring up lights to work with different components of a vehical
