Anyone else with a new 2014 Sierra having an issue with the frame rusting and paint/wax flaking off? I have 3000 kms and it looks horrible. I also own a 2011 Canyon service truck with 105kms and the frame looks like new. So irriating as my Sierra is a beautiful truck aside

2016 Chevy Silverado e assist issues ? ¿
Shawnslife posted a topic in 2014 - 2019 Silverado & Sierra
Hey there I am a proud owner of a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado. The issues I wanted to discuss is the new technology in the truck. What I'm referring to is the E assist system. Only 500 of these were released in California, I own one and love my truck but I believe this system is making the truck drive weird. I'm not sure if it's because it's trying to improve fuel economy or just faulty but when I am coming to a stop I can feel a clunk almost like I was rear ended, I can also feel it when taking off and it's annoying. I wanted to see if any of you have had similar problems in your truck and any advise you had or your experience. I brought this issue to the dealer twice and both times they found issues but none with the e assist system or transmission they claim. I have posted a link to a video of what happened on my last experience to my local dealer. Thanks for any help. -
2019 Denali ultimate. So far the ultimate headache ache. I’ve had the rear window leak, front glass removed and headliner replaced. Dealership left erase fingerprints all over new headliner. The rubber wasn’t tucked back in properly. Windshield had sealant all over interior and exterior. Botched job. They sealed rear window.. Now it leaks again In the same spot. I’ve turned into GM a claim and they sent to a senior advisor. I still Haven’t heard from the,. Left multiple messages, the dealer has left messages and no return calls. ‘’Also had the ECM replaced which was. 5 DAY PROCESS. Squeaks in dash that has been in twice until I finally Fixed it myself. Front speaker wasn’t seated good. The plastic piece on rear window exterior had to be glued on twice. Service engine soon light for something with transmission. And now also light on for service anti lock brakes. Since thanksgiving when truck was purchased it’s been in the shop for over three weeks. All I really Need is a customer service senior advisor to return a call and allow a rear window replacement at the dealership. Anyone have a connection? Regretting trading my f250. Could see where the Denali could be nice truck had it not been in shop every other week.

I recently asked for and received my truck's build sheet from GM Customer Service. The Gross Vehicle Weight shown on the first page is listed as 3,178 - no Kilograms or Pounds after this figure. Now 3,178 in Kilograms works out to a little over 7,000 Pounds so I thought I had the answer. I contacted GM Customer service asking for details on the GVW number of 3,178 - Here is the reply: " To answer your questions, the Gross Vehicle Weight will be in pounds. So 3,178 lbs will be approximately 1,441 kilograms. " I think the Jeep CJ7 with hardtop I used to own had a GVW higher than 3,178 lbs! The window sticker for my '14 shows GVW of 7,000 LBS. C'mon GM Customer Service. I know this a very small error but if they can't get this right no wonder we have so many recalls.

I just wanted to share my recent experience with Corsa. I have had the same system on my last 2500HD's and recently started to notice a rattling noise. After a closer inspection, I discovered it was coming from within the muffler. At that point I contacted Corsa just to see if I could purchase just the muffler, as the places I looked only sold the whole system. They asked for a few pics of the muffler and proof of purchase. To my surprise they promptly responded telling me that they processed the warranty and that the new muffler will be made and shipped by the end of the month. I did not expect that. It's refreshing to find customer service like that. I'm a happy customer!
