Hi I have a 2017 custom extended cab 1500 silverado. Color is olympic white. Want to color match the door handles which are black textured plastic. Local dealer could get some in and paint them for $1200. Any ideas where to find olympic white door handles for a more reasonable price? Used to be some available on ebay I heard but that was before I had the truck and I can't find any now there either. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I just bought a 2010 Silverado LTZ 4x4 last Thursday and a few days ago it started leaking oil, and now I noticed it smokes from the engine bay on startup. It's not a lot of smoke, but it smokes on startup and smells like something is burning and then a few seconds later it'll stop. I opened up my engine bay and it looks like it is coming from the passenger side exhaust manifold, maybe a worn exhaust gasket? I'm not sure. It is white smoke, and there is a little bit of white smoke coming from the exhaust as well. It's hardly noticeable from the exhaust, but when looking in the engine bay you can clearly see it. If anyone has any ideas what this could be please help me out.

Update on how my truck is coming out
6FOOT6Chevy posted a topic in 2014-2018 Silverado & Sierra Mods
Its been awhile since I've put up an update post on what I have done to my truck in the past few months. So here is the list.... -RC 2 inch leveling kit -Carven performance exhaust ( Competition muffler ) -Aftermarket taillights ( returning soon as they already have issues ) -future planned taillights are morimoto's -Black bowtie swap front and rear -I may get aftermarket headlights in the future if prices go down. -Custom HD towing mirrors ( The front LED turn signals are sequential ) -20 inch light bar mounted onto a license plate bracket mount -20x10 -25 offset dropstar 655bm -33x12.5 toyo open country RT's -Front end air dam removal with trimming for tires -LED turn signal bulbs All these mods were done myself except for the tow mirrors since i had them done at my Chevy dealer so that i made sure everything worked properly and was warrantied for the wiring harness. Please give me your thoughts and opinions on my build and give me any pointers o what i should do next to the truck. I'm thinking about getting a cold air inductions CAI next. -

I know a lot of people are running black rims on white trucks and blacked out black trucks and color matching etc. I decided to go old school chrome (lux) look. I made this happen on the front end by swapping out my black front bumper skid shield with the denali chrome one. I also as some of you may know, whited out my badges with reflective vinyle (see profile pic) and decided on chrome rims, exception, these rims are powder coated and flashed for the exact same look as chrome except they clean up just like paint. soap and water and wax. So this may not be for all but it takes me back a bit while still be modern. By the way, to remove this and replace. off comes the under grill molding, the radiator shroud, the front grill, the front bumper, remove both bumper backing plates remove and replace skid plate. i followed these instructions... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-do4lHsbydM

I'd like to start off by thanking you all for stopping by to read this post and helping me out...!!! This summer I plan on throwing a 6 inch lift kit from BDS onto my 2008 Silverado 1500 Ext cab 4x4. Here is a link to the kit: http://bds-suspension.com/product?ma=5&mo=1&ty=1&yr=2007-2013- But before I throw it on, I'd like to know some options I have for locking difs. I plan on running 4.56s or even 4.10 (I still haven't made my mind up yet). I am currently running stock gears which are 3.73 on 33" tires. When I do the lift her, I'd like to run 35s (maybe on 17s or 18s).. haven't decided on that either; don't know which would look better with 35s). Now, my truck has the RPO code that states it has the Eaton G80 Locker. I picked her up in early to mid October of 2014, and since owning the truck I have yet to notice the locker engage. I've been through some deep snow, ice, gravel roads, and some light mud with terrible tires and even then haven't noticed an engagement..? At this point, I'm feeling like I may not actually have a locking dif . So, I start looking briefly at some locking diffs online (one of them was the Detroit Truetrac). But I read somewhere that they don't suggest tires over 33s; reason being that the tire is too big and the locking dif won't engage. Because of that, I'm lost on what locking difs are available/ones I should consider looking into. I don't plan on beating my truck into the ground, nor do I plan on doing extreme off roading/jumping my truck. More like nice casual off-roading with some buddies, going to our fishing/hunting grounds, and exploring new areas. As well as going mudding wherever & whenever we can Appreciate any help any of you can give me. Thanks!
