  1. Anyone running these rear shocks? Looking for real testimony not guesses. What's the best bang for the buck suspension for a 2wd 2008 Silverado extended cab LT without electronic controlled suspension? Front springs? Struts? Rear shocks? Leaf springs? Planning on rebuilding the front end with all mevotech ttx parts.
  2. Well I had to get mufflers to correct my “fix it ticket.” I ended up getting a x pipe and dynomax bullets on my catback true duals for the new readers. Very disappointed in the sound. Going from straights to mufflers is depressing. No matter what mufflers it is and these are the loudest ones I could get. Not sure how I feel about the x pipe, I got it primarily to make the strange vaccum chop go away and it did that perfectly. However it might be contributing slightly to making it quieter, I don’t know. So if you’re out there and you want to make your exhaust a little louder- I can only recommend one thing (which i will be doing on my 18th birthday)- long tube headers, catless straight pipes with x pipe to 8” slash cut shorty tips.
  3. Morning y'all, So I've been reading the forums regarding replacing/upgrading the brake and the time has come for me to replace the brakes on my 2016 Sierra and I wanted to see which route people went with. I've heard about people upgrading to the "police" brakes offered on the PPV. Comments? Thanks!!
  4. I am in law enforcement, and am looking to purchase a 2015 Tahoe for commuting to and from work, and occasional off-duty work. Has anyone had any experience purchasing a Police Tahoe through a dealer and getting the Police discount? I know it can be done, but wanted to see what documents people had to produce to acquire the truck. Loan approved, cash ready! Thanks
  5. Kidding aside, Chevy modifies its trucks so that dogs have the best ventilation and cooling available. “Heat exhaustion is one of the top killers of police dogs,” said Michael Werges, sergeant-at-arms, North American Police Dog Association. Chevy removes the third row to create the kennel space for police dogs. The Tahoe is the only SUV available with upper and lower air vents to the third row according to Chevy.
  6. John Goreham Contributing Writer, GM-Trucks.com 8/26/2015 GM-Trucks.com could not let National Dog Day go unrecognized. Not knowing any real police dogs, we conducted an intensive survey of the five dogs we do know, asking them, "You love the Tahoe, don't yah, don't yah!" while holding up a Beggin' Strip. 80% responded in a very positive way. Only Brian from Family Guy said he preferred the Toyota Prius.
