Just plasti dipped my badges on 2020 Silverado RST 1500. 5 coats of matte black and 1 coat of glossifier. Waited 15-20 min between coats. Super simple to do. Let me know if you have any questions. BTW the tailgate Chevrolet lettering is BD Trims domed letter inserts, black with red outline.

Hi - i am looking at color matching my bumpers to my black silverado - i have seen pictures of plasti dipped bumpers but i haven't read much on a vinyl wrap until recently - has anyone done the vinyl wrap? does it match better than plasti dip and glossifier?

Hey guys, I have been looking through some posts on plasti dip lately, and it seems that most people are taping off the chrome parts of the emblems. From past experience I didn't think that this was necessary. So I had some time this morning and gave it a shot! Hopefully this saves people some time!!!! ha. You will see I taped off everything surrounding the emblem, but not the chrome parts. I threw on about 4 coats and let it set for probably 10-15 minutes before I removed the tape and paper. You can see that the plasti dip on the chrome pieces pulls right off without effecting the red portion.

Just looking for some help with this...looking at PlastiDip'n my front bumper on my 2015 All Terrain to protect the painted bumper for the winter from stone chips off sanded roads. I am wondering how hard it comes off after an entire winter? Will it be enough to protect it? Also looking at doing my OEM oval chrome side steps to protect them. Looking for any advice or experience you have had with PlastiDip. My climate for winter is cold, living in NB, Canada!!! Thanks.

Would like to paint the GMC logo being that I do not see any white/chrome trimmed grille emblems for sale. A coworker had mentioned plasti dip which i had never heard of until now. Curious to know how this is done? I would like to have it match the same white as the truck.Do I need a gloss or matte white? Anyone have pics of theirs? Or I heard of people using vinyl?? Which is best? I have this grille Im 50-50 on it. Came with truck when bought it. Some parts of me want to go back to this: Would the logo transfer if i did decide to change or.. is it permanently attached to the grille?? Thanks
