Yesterday I noticed that some paint had come off my 6" round steps. I have heavy duty mud flaps. Now when I bought the truck, a 2014 Sierra All Terrain, I was very particular about having 'the least amount of chrome possible'. That's the reason why I went with the OEM black side steps (a friend had recomended against going aftermarket). I'm dissapointed that 18 months after I got the truck, these steps are already looking like crap because (as you can see in pic 2) paint adhesion isn't that great. There's bubbling visible and I am worried another big chip is coming off soon. And after next winter, all I will be left are some ugly rusted out side steps. Is this covered under waranty? Does anybody knows?

For Sale: OEM GM Crew Cab 4-inch Round Step Bars Black (Factory Installed) - $300 (Atlanta Metro Area - Southeast) Designed specifically for T1 2019 or 2020+ Chevy Silverado 1500 Crew Cabs (Assume they would work for 2019+ GMC Sierra 1500 as well, but not sure) Chevy Accessories has them listed at $750: https://accessories.chevrolet.com/product/crew-cab-4-inch-round-assist-steps-in-black-84011355?year=2020&make=Chevrolet&model=Silverado 1500&modelId=491&body=Crew Cab Pickup&bodyId=22&wheel=Short Box&wheelId=651&trim=Custom&trimId=125&drive=4WD&driveId=8&engine=5.3L V8 GAS&engineId=2059&bodyNumDoors=5&categoryId=12062 The dealer sticker had them listed at $795. I am asking $300. They are in excellent condition and have never been off road or abused. Reason for sale: I'm looking to transition to AMP power steps. I'm in the north Atlanta suburbs and would be willing to travel up to 150 miles to meet up. Would really prefer to avoid trying to ship these things, but willing to discuss options. Thanks!

I see people removing their TriMode steps, are there problems with those steps? Do they cause clearance issues with oversized tires? Has anyone had a negative experience with them? I’m going to replace my factory fixed running boards on my 2015 Silverado. I want to use the TriMode steps. They look like they will suit me perfectly. I spoke with Phil about upgrading to his harness and replacing the factory box with the later model part to ease the electrical install. I just want to make certain that there aren’t any hidden issues, that I discover the hard way (like usual). Thanks for your input. Dark

Deezee Hex Series Running Boards Fits 2014-2018 GMC and Chevy 1500 trucks. As they sit, they will fit the crew cab but the main rail can be shortened (cut) to fit double cabs. Steps slide forward and back. Brackets should work with double and crew cab as well. All hardware included. If you have factory steps, most of the hardware can be reused. I went back to my chrome OEM boards, my kids (3 and 5) had a hard time climbing up on these guys. Had on my truck for 7 months. Now taking up space in my garage. I'm OK with shipping but prefer pick up or meet up in Illinois or Michigan (Kalamazoo). If you're local, I'd be happy to help install them. $350 - obo Here's what they look like installed.
