I have a 2019 Sierra 1500 Next Generation. Bought it in June 2019. On three or four occasions, while the engine was engaged in Auto Stop, the engine stopped completely and did not restart on its own. I had to place the truck in Park and restart. The latest was today when it stalled and a bunch of lights came on. The first was "SD card has been removed". Once dismissed, several other messages came up. "Steering Assist Off, Drive with care" "Traction Control System Off" Then the trouble lights and while I don't have an idea of all, it included Parking Brake On, Tow/Haul Light, Brake System Off, ABS and a few more. It would not start for a couple of minutes but once it did the the power brakes did not work. The truck was parked for about 15 minutes and when I drove home, there were no other issues. Anyone had anything like this happen to them. I'll be calling the dealership tomorrow. Thanks for any help.

1991 Chev GMT 400 6 cyl stall out issues
Jeremy N Meagan Gardner posted a question in Ask the GM Technician
I have a 1991 Chev GMT 400 6cyl. It has approximately 175,000 miles on it . I recently have put a new starter ,water pump , fuel pump ,and battery in it within the past 2 weeks. Plugs, wires , and distributor cap and throttle ppsition sensor (i believe thats what its called) was changed about 2 yrs ago. However ,I've been having an ongoing issue with it that has been there since I purchased it and I can't figure it out. Whenever my truck is in idle it will sputter and stall out. It will sometimes sputter and stall in park . when I change it from park to drive, it will sputter and stall out every time. When I'm in drive and I come to a stop it will sputter and stall out ,unless I press the gas pedal too then it will stay running. Also when I'm in reverse and stopped it sputters and stalls out. Also I noticed if I'm in park and its running fine ,when I cut my wheel as far as it will go ,that will cause it to sputter and stall out. But like I said in park its very iffy , sometimes it'll run OK and sometimes it'll stutter and stall out. Other than that the truck runs fine as far as driving it goes and this sputtering and stalling out is the one issue I cannot figure out! I'm hoping someone out there knows what it is BC I have no idea and I'm hoping it'll be a quick ,easy and above all cheap fix . I bought the truck in 2017 and it had this issue , and it did sit for 2 yrs ,BC I used my car to get back and forth to work. But I believe I cracked or blew a head gasket in my car so I know that's gonna be an expensive fix. So after sitting for 2 years I decided to fix whatever it needed so I could get to work. And the things I had to replace within the past 2 weeks was the starter, water pump, fuel pump ,and battery. And also new tires . so hopefully I have given enough info to help y'all figure out what it could be . thank u for taking the time to read this and for your knowledge that you give to help me out. I'm not a mechanic ,so if you can , please be very specific on answers so that way I can know for sure what you are talking about . thank you! -
1996 5.7l truck code p1345 runs rough when warmed up
rhensonsr posted a question in Ask the GM Technician
3 weeks ago, I bought a 1996 ext cab Chevy that runs like a dream when the engine is cold, but runs increasingly rough as the temp increases. P1345 comes on as soon as it is started. Today, I drove about 10 miles until it died. Since it would not start, I thought it was the timing chain but when the wrecker driver arrived (1 hr later), it started up and ran like a dream. Here's a list of what I have replaced: cam sensor, crank sensor, fuel filter, plugs, wires, cap, and air filter. No coolant loss noticed yet. Any help is appreciated. -
Over last couple of months my 2009 Silverado 5.3L stalls once it's warm...meaning the first time I start it for the day it starts right up. But after it is driven 10-15 minutes and you make a stop, the next time you fire it up, it stalls as soon as it catches fire. 7-8 times in a row. Even trying to use the accelerator to keep it running proves tough unless you really gun it, which I don't like doing in even oil pressure isn't high enough. This truck I bought new and it mostly sits in my driveway during the week and is used on weekends for hauling a boat, motorcycles or doing yard work. It has about 23k miles on it and is well maintained. I am wondering if it has EFI buildup from all the ethanol in the gas these days that plague smaller motors, or if it has some moisture in the system somewhere. Any ideas would be appreciated before I send it to the dealer to be looked at.

Symptoms. Check engine lights flashing and stability traction light on. Slight odor of burnt oil. Truck starts shaking. Wants to stall. Took 4 days to diagnose (they had to wait for senior tech to come into work). Everything tested fine, compression, plugs, coil. Finally on day 4 they diagnosed a faulty fuel injector. Day 8 now still waiting for snail mail to deliver part. Any ideas on how to illeviate wait times also. A fuel injector should be a immediate diagnose and fix.

Please HELP! My friend has a 2007 Chevy 2500 HD Classic 6.0 That while he's driving it just shuts off. Then it dose nothing when he tries to restart it. No noise no nothing. the dash lights all come on just no cranking or trying to crank. There is a code U0107 Throttle Actuator control loss communication. It seems when first started that it has to get really warmed up then it quits. After that he can just have it running in the driveway a few minutes & it will quit after the intimal warm up. It's like something is getting hot/ I'm hoping someone else has had this issue & knows where to have us look. Not sure the code has anything to do with it quiting. A garage put a new PCM on it but it didn't fix it. Thanks
