  1. Hello yall, it's been great reading up and contributing here but I'm out of the GM game.. I went and got me a Tundra. I just needed a crew cab and felt my extended cab wasn't going to serve my family well - too crowded. I'll miss some nice features that the Silverado had but at the same time.. I got a really good deal on my Tundra (higher trim than my Silverado ever was).
  2. The Colorado Z71 Duramax was the Chevy product in the evaluation. The Colorado was close to the Tacoma in every evaluation criteria. However, it tied the Toyota in the "Empirical" evaluation (meaning spec sheet). Colorado beat the Tacoma in the "Mechanical" section and also the "Interior" section. The two were tied in the "Exterior" voting. The Toyota won the "Ride and Drive" and "4-Wheel Attributes" sections. Because it won't ruin the story for you and since it is at the very start of the story, we will leave yo with this longish quote form the Petersen's report: "The minutia that helped the Toyota Tacoma TRD Off-Road eke out a win over a potent and effective Chevy Colorado Z71 with a 2.8L Duramax Diesel are hard to determine, but what certainly didn’t hurt were the Tacoma’s cost (relative to competitors), potent and effective manual rear locker, finely tuned suspension, and complex yet very effective electronic Crawl Control. This truck excelled in almost every aspect of our test, proving capable in all of our off-road testing environments, always clawing forward, and only stopping after the bar set by other contenders." You can view the Petersen's story right here. Note: Images are not from the testing.
  3. The Ford F-150 MRT with its breathed-on 3.5-liter EcoBoost had too many add-ons to list, but some of the most notable drivetrain parts include: •MRT stainless steel exhaust, Max-Flow h-pipe and back half exhaust system •MRT custom induction •MRT custom shifter •MRT custom rear spoiler fabricated by Team Z Motorsports •JMS Pedal MAX accelerator pedal signal controller •JMS Boost MAX boost signal controller •SCT custom tune for performance and extreme duty thermal management •Tremec Magnum 6-speed manual transmission (conversion) •QuickTime bell housing •EXEDY performance clutch and flywheel •Turbosmart blow-off valve Toyota brought a Tundra made into a limo which we refuse to dignify with an image. However, Yoda redeemed itself with this awesome looking 4Runner Tonka off-road vehicle.
  4. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5c4Ewz1Vqd0 What do you think? Will the Taco advert play well with its target audience?
